Just been for a nice long (well, 4 miles, so not very long) walk. Feel much more energised now I've had some fresh air and exercise. Squashed a ginormous spider in the utility room when I was taking my boots off, which has reminded me why it is so important to get on top of the flying now! I don't want anywhere for them to hide...

Hopefully tomorrow will be a more productive day here...

*wants wine too but has none*

ooh a lovely cup of tea :roll eyes:

Dusty - France too, a Normandy Gite. Need to sort four passports yet though which will be painful.

Still not done the streamers :o. Boys need to go to bed given that they were up at 6am. DS1 says that now he is 7 he should not have to go to bed at the same time as DS2 who is only 5 . Henceforth he must not be referred to as a small boy, and he has to have a large plate at dinner. To be fair he also wants to take turns at washing up and other medium sized boy jobs :A.

Hex how cute is that :) I also want wine but cant have any :( DH is passed out drunk on the couch and after three weeks of drinking he promised he wasn't going to drink this weekend . I really want him to stop, he's not a complete drunk but since I got pregnant he's been binging a bit too much for my liking, although my DB told me today that its not as bad as I think, just that I notice more because I've not had anything to drink in four and half months ?
Emzy I've sent you a PM

I still haven't done my desk as I just cant stop reading, but Im going to shut my lappy after this post and not come back until I can see my desk. So if you see me here before Ive updated my list, please send me away. I really want to do some comping tonight. I haven't done any in ages and Ive a long list of baby bits I want to acquire :p
ETA Greenbee 4 miles-not long? When the baby arrives, could you give me some training please:) A mile is more than enough for me.
  • 4 am - 1 camera battery on charge.

8am - up, cats, DW, WM, TD, folding/dumping in heap on DD2 as she snored.

8.30am - 2 packed lunches, 2 piles of cat puke, 1 litter tray.

8.45am, 1 DD2 retrieving from under clean washing with the promise of a cuppa.

9.00am pointing out to DD2 that I would ideally like to leave the house with her resembling a semirespectable 10 year old rather than an abused scarecrow.

9.15am leaving within a reasonable time. DD had cuppa. Mine was untouched.

9.25 caught bus to train station.

    10.00 train arrives in London

    10.10 bus arrives

11.00 handing over vast sums of cash to Science Museum.

    12, 13, 14, 15, 16 museuming.

16.30 escaped gift shop with one chemistry set and a promise to get a USB microscope for 11th birthday.

17.00 back on bus, resisting urge to lose self down Kings Road or see if estate agent is open.

20.00 DD out with friend, came back with surprise 99 for me from ice cream man!

20.05 Trying to not fall asleep.

    20.06 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Is it wine o'clock yet?:D

    Defo!

    I have done it! :j:j:j

I have boned three birds (and each one is intact!), made two lots of different stuffing and assembled a three bird roast from scratch! Including the sewing up bit! It took ages!

And Yes, I've taken photos but I'm too knackered to post them today. I shall wait and do the final "after" bit once it's cooked in the morning and before we all eat it and then get sent to hospital with food poisoning!

I now need to go and clean up the wreck that is the kitchen and find something for dinner.

Oh, and do something with all these bones I have lurking in a bowl in the fridge. I think I'm just going to freeze them and boil them up another day.

    I am exhausted!

  • 20.16 Up because cat is foaming at the mouth and dashing under my bed. Further investigations reveal that she has been licking up toothpaste left in the bathroom sink.

Relieved that a) it's not the first UK case of rabies this century and b) that the blob in the sink means she hasn't been chewing on the family toothbrushes

I've decluttered some emails and some old documents. CBA is hitting in now so will type a quick letter and call it a day.
