    Hi all,

Hope you are all well?? I have missed flying and catching up on the latest goings on/gossip :(

The house move is now over (thank god, it was a nightmare) I am now living out of cardboard boxex and it is driving me crazy! On the pluss side the house has new flooring, has been newly decorated and the best bit . . . . my dad bought me a new oven :) I am off to Ikea tomorrow to solve alll my storage needs and then I can finish unpacking

My internet doesn't get plugger in till the 10th (sneaked on at work to post this shhhhhhhhhh) so I will not be flying untill then :(

Soappie - have BG arrived yet? I gave in and put the heat on for an hour this morning. It has been off for a couple of weeks. Off to collect a car load of logs from a freecycle lady later.
    .

He's just this minute left. And I have put the oven on to get some heat going. He has to order a new fan because it has finally burnt out. But, the pollyanna bit is that at least it went last night and not tonight. It means someone will be out tomorrow afternoon to fix it. If I'd called them today, they would not have come out with the new one until Tuesday.

I shall phone NN in a bit and ask to use her bath this evening. I'm going to dig some beef out of the freezer in a moment and rustle up a casserole that can be v. slowly cooked in the oven to at least keep the kitchen warm.

And Frodders, I have the bottom half of an old, draughty, high ceiling house which backs onto 100 acres of parkland so there's no shelter from the cold winds at the back. Currently, it's only14 degrees C indoors. Not as cold as it was when it broke down just before Christmas, but not warm enough really for sitting.

I shall do some flying now to keep warm.

I'm afraid the news from Sandy isn't good. I'm not sure what it is, as she hasn't been clear, but I suspect that she's not ready to put it in writing yet.

Huge hugs to Sandy and her family. Can you send her my love please Greenbee?

    Of course I will.

She's been in touch again. Obviously having huge problems (understandably) coming to terms with what's happening, and possibly finding it easier to talk to strangers than to people she knows. I'll keeping sending your messages through as hopefully they will at least distract her and make her feel less lonely.

So sorry to hear about Sandy - sending my love to her. Many thanks Greenbee for the updates. I have to say that following my stroke if ever I have anything not quite right I get round to the GPs and after having 2 kids all my dignity is gone anyhow so I'm not worried about where the problem is!!!

LW, please don't climb into a pit of depression honey; as said before, we're all different in what we want and just because you're female doesn't mean you have to want children.

Soappie, really pleased you'll get sorted tomorrow afternoon - it would have been horrible to wait until Tuesday. Your house sounds lovely with 100 acres of parkland - want a Jack Russell to walk around?!!!

Ishtar, let us know when you've made your GP appointment - if we don't hear we'll give you little reminders!

Carlsberggal, sorry you're having a CBA day - not good are they. You'll soon be home.

Onestep, enjoy the chickens! Once you've got them you may feel different about having them for eggs and meat - may just be eggs! Mind you, DH says once ours stop laying they'll be in the slow cooker and I don't think he's joking :(

Time to finish my cup of tea and fetch DD and then won't get any peace until April 19th (back to school date). Oh how I love the holidays

I was wondering whether one of the flyladies who is in a similar position (you know who you are) might be willing to talk to her about coping strategies and the support available. She's clearly having a hard time holding things together, and I can't begin to imagine how she feels, although I know some of you know only too well.

greenbee If you think I can be any help I'll PM you my number?

    Give Sandy my love.....

Thanks for the offer Mumof2, but I don't think BB would take kindly to another dog (unless, perhaps, it was a puppy).

Beef out the freezer and defrosting in the MW. NN phoned and bath booked for about 6pm. I feel I shall be having an early night!
