has anyone ever washed cotton curtains before that said dry clean only? I will need to iron them anyway

I've been thinking of washing some of mine, I don't do dry cleaning - does it actually work? I have images of them just shaking stuff and pressing it whilst spraying it with something toxic.

I did wash some unlined ones and they shrunk about 5".

Ironing all finished. Just going to put the DW/WM on and then head off to bed.

PenPen - I watched the 3Cs too - know which one won't be getting my vote ;)
