I haven't heard from Sandy yet today, but I've had a delivery receipt for the text I sent last night, so her phone has been switched on. I'm in the office today but will update as and when I hear/am able to.

In a 'my leg has fallen of but that is fine because I had lost one of my shoes' so I am GLAD, GLAD, GLAD style :p - can you tell I hated Pollyanna? I do totally agree that you can think yourself unhappy - IMHO 'everything is carp' is a self fulfilling prophecy both at work and at home.
    • DS1 read his first 'chapter' book last week :T
    • DS2 draws the most amazingly accurate and detailed pictures :T
    • The garden is full of buds, so many exciting things just starting to come back to life :T
    • After a scary number of years posting on here I no longer have a room of doom or indeed a number of rooms of doom :rotfl:
    Greenbee - shocked at you :p :T
helenjelly - congrats on the new job
zoe - glad you got an outcome you are happy with
ajmoney - congrats on the formal promotion
Natty - my megapack came yesterday and has provided lots of presents for the drawer so I was pleased. I am also on a self imposed CCban but struggling to stick to it.
Lamewolf - hope things are better for you today

Thinking of those who are ill and/or down too - so hugs for all those who need them, but mostly thinking of Sandy and her DH who must both be very scared people at the moment.

It's grey and wet and horrible and my 'get-up-and-go' has 'got-up-and-went' :(

    However
    I am healthy
    I have a warm house
I have food in the larder
I have (a little) money in my purse
I am enjoying the freedom retirement brings

and the world is looking better as my coffee goes down :)

Thanks piggers and hugs to all who need (or just want)

Message from someone via Sandy's phone (I assume her DH or nursing staff):

Thanks everyone for the texts. Sorry for the delay. The biopsy went well but she had a really long seizure in recovery. There were concerns over her breathing so she is in ITU on a vent. She hasn't woken yet.

Thanks for the updates Greenbee, my thoughts are with Sandy and her family, at least she is in a place that can help her.

I've been excused the meeting... possibly because I'm not wearing a suit ;) or possibly because the colleague presenting doesn't want me to see the presentation... must remember though, when wearing dresses... lifting arms makes the skirt shorter :o

And I'll keep wearing short skirts while I can get away with it... :p:p
