Greenbee, thanks for posting the text message re Sandy. I'm thinking of her and her family.

To all those suffering with the dreaded BD - big hugs all round and let's all keep them fastened right at the far end of the garden. They're not allowed in the house - shooo!!!

Up horribly early this morning to get DS into nursery before DD had to go to school, then had to have a word with the headmistress (one of the lunch time assistants had told DD she won't be any good at the junior school. She is a worrier - like her Mum - and was in tears saying she couldn't move up .. she goes in September). Been to GP and got Ibuleve for my achy foot, done dailies and am going to do some typing and then attack the lounge this pm.

Mumof2 - I'm horrified! I hope the head has words with offending dinnerlady (was tempted to call her offensive!)

Give her a big hug from me and tell her that most dinnerladies are lovely! I've been one for 11 years and I love it - the best bit is talking to the kids and watching them grow up - it's like having kids all over again!

I may not have achieved much this morning but it has been a productive MSE one.

I just rang my gas and electricity companies as after the winter fuel bills I was in credit by £138! The money should be back in my account within 2 weeks and they have also recalculated my gas direct debit and from May we will be paying £24 less a month. Quite a good morning I feel :money::money:

Lunch, hang washing up and then I may see about some studying :(

    Morning...

    Just dropping in to say....

Tuesday ~ Living room/family room or other reception room! DONE!! Star please Toots...!

I haven't read back through the thread yet as I've got my sister coming any minute (deep joy), but will try to do so later.

Oh yes, before I forget...my reasons to be cheerful...

    1. I have two beautiful children, both of whom are succeeding. DD is reading really well and her writing is coming on in spades, and DS who has almost taken his first step. He just needs to have the confidence to let go of things.

    2. I'm married to my soul mate. (Sorry if that's a bit sick-making, but it's true :p).

    See you all later...
    Take care

  • Suep – so sorry to hear of your loss
Greenbee – thanks for the update on Sandy – hope things improve for her now she is in the best place getting treatment. Love and hugs and healing vibes to you.
Jinky – you ok honey? xx

Right on this miserable, cold and wet day, here are my Pollyanna compulsory bits:

    1. I am married to the love of my life
    2. I have 3 healthy, wonderful kids
    3. I am going to have a lovely grandbaby in June
    4. I have a roof over my head that is normally respectable due to this thread
    5. I have fantastic family and friends
    6. This wonderful supportive thread/virtual friends
    7. We are going away for 4 days on Friday, just me and DH, can’t wait

The list could go on really, it is so easy to think of the negatives that when writing the positives you realise actually how lucky you are; well that’s what I think.

I’ve s/s’d the kitchen, tidied the living room and flung bleach down the loos before work

I want to see at least 2 things that are fabulous in our life right now!! There has been a lot of unhappiness so now we can all be Pollyannas and be glad about something!!

Pollyanna 1: My children and I are happy and healthy

Pollyanna 2: Spring is so close I can almost touch it! Have got seeds germinating in the greenhouse, polyanthus and daffs blooming in the garden!

    and that makes TUESDAY DONE!
