I have finally finished the bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only things I haven't done is sort my jewellry, not that I have much, I just couldn't be bothered! But I have thrown out several carrier bags of rubbish and have 2 black bags of clothes to take to the clothes bank.

    Go me!

Spare room is a bit messy, its got washing drying in there and ironing to do but I can sort that tomorrow.

    Gotta go but take care

So sorry to read your sad news suep.
  • I'm just back from my 5pm HHI:eek:. Good news is the ironing is done, the bags are packed (ds1 can set off on his travels anytime) and I also managed to stick WM on again. I got DS1 to start the spag bol he's done the bol part I've just stuck the spag on and the garlic bread in the oven. DS1 also paired all the socks with a little help from DD so quite a good little lot done there.

Hank marvin again and the food smells lovely. I'll make a coffee since valli never bothered:p;)

Right.. boys room ALMOST blue'd.. 3 walls need 1 more coat.. and the ceiling need a bit of touching up.. then the metallic stuff can go on tomorrow.. it won't dry quick enough!!

Grots off to KH's until 9 in the morning.. it is REALLY worth it?

I am hoping to nip to the crappet shop for new crappet for the boys room.. now.. their bedding is black/grey/white and the walls are blue and the paintwork is silver.. what colour crappet do I get?

Black WILL show up ALL the bits' I'm sure. They have blue now but I think it might be too much blue (curtains and chests of drawers are black too.. or the CoD's will be when I actually get to buy them!! lol).. SO.. grey? Dark dark blue? or something else?

OH off to chippy.. and I'm going to make a cuppa, load WM/DW/TD, clear table, fill a binbag (binday tomorrow :D!) Tiddles had a wobbly earlier when I threw out her broken pram.. the wheel is smashed off!!.. but it is her favourite toy ever!! Silly girl!

Agreed - speckles are the way to go ... doesnt show the bits ... we stupidly bought a dark carpet in the hall stairs and landing - then got 2 dogs ... now pups do wee wees sometimes and it bleaches the dye in the carpet no matter how quickly you swoop with the kitchen roll - so big mistake....

pigpen i would go with a blue speckle pattern, that way who cares if there is a bit of fluff or whatever, you wont notice till you hoover :p
  • Diffo not black Pigpen. My livingroom is black and it's murder to keep clean and the kids don't spend that much time ben there we use the kitchen more. I'd go for grey I think.
