Toots - Sandy says thanks for the message (I have passed on all the good wishes, but sent the whole of Toots'). Her DH has taken the time off work to be with her, and the children are at school and don't know what's wrong.. She's expecting the consultant to appear at any minute, and is understandably getting more and more scared. I've told her to make sure that her DH takes notes, but also to ask the consultant to come back when they've had a chance to take things in and have questions to ask. Hopefully it is helping her knowing that we're all thinking of her.
greenbee, thanks for keeping us informed - so glad sandy made arrangements to contact you.
Sending her and G&B's LO all positive vibes for successful tests.

Hi everyone, thanks to the usual three (or four). I've got a cold today, it started last night and I didn't really sleep very well. Was too hot. Which meant I then overslept for most of the morning.

I've been out to the PO and to the lettings agent (to ask for our tenancy agreement which is a month overdue and to ask them to sort out the stupid light in the hall, someone put a bulb in which doesn't light up for a few minutes, which is useless as by teh time it's lit up, the push button has popped out again!), and to the doctors to throw myself on the mercy of the receptionist. Due to feeling poorly last week I didn't notice I was nealry out of meds, and had my last dose this morning. The receptionist was really nice and put my repeat prescription though as an urgent. Will pick it up first thing.

I'm going to do some work now and watch something on the iplayer.

Flying will have to wait til later. I've been so hot all day that my clothes are literally soaked! Urgh! Now I'm getting cold...

I will be catching up on the thread at some point, this is from the end of the old thread

So far today I have decluttered an hour worth of studying. In that last session I wrote another 317 words taking my total to 1650 :D

Need to stop for a bit as my neck is aching. Also need a shower as we are going to see Jimmy Carr in Glasgow tonight and I want to freshen up. May rush back though and see if I can declutter another 350 words before OH gets in so I can get my word count to 2000.

    *stumbles in sheepishly*

sorry for my rude 'join the thread' post last night...I didn't thank the three musketeers - no excuse but I was boiling with rage for no reason, so I guess it's hormonal. I've had a few episodes of this but at the same time can see it's totally irrational, which is probably whi I haven't yet torched Valli Towers. Well, that and the fact that I would have to clean up the mess afterwards...

    So many thanks

Thankyou Greenbee for the updates on Sandy...I do hope they get to the bottom sooner rather than later and that things can be put in place to sort and support.

Hope GnB's littley is ok with no lasting damage

Home early for PPA to find kitchen in a tip with milk out. *grump* so now to get on with planning and prep.

Oh Boddy - actually I think that's pretty shoddy treatment of volunteers, too.

Greenbee, thanks so much for keeping us up to date on Sandy and how she's doing. I hope the biopsy went well for her earlier but she must be so frightened.

Pigpen, you'll have to put a picture up for us as I see you've been using metallic paint - bet it'll look great. Good that KH has offered to have the LOs as you'll whizz through much quicker then.

ajmoney, enjoy Jimmy Carr, I really like him. You deserve a nice evening after all your studying.

Rose, glad your receptionist was friendly, sometimes Dr receptionists can be really helpful but other times they're on a bit of a power trip I find! Most of ours are really nice, but 1 is a real jobsworth and even tut tuts if you ask anything out of the ordinary!

Notso, I did mystery shopping for a while towards the end of last year - sounds like you're onto a winner if you got £50 for an hour's work :T! I got fed up with being offered burger jobs with one particular company!

DH just walked mud into the kitchen on the floor that I cleaned just 2 hours ago  (why can't men take muddy shoes off?) Oh well, I'll dustpan and brush it up when it's dry. It was nice for a while!

Poor Sandy, I hope the biopsy is finished and she is getting some sleep, she must be emotionally exhausted.

Off to DS3 parent consultation now. Very full from 2 pieces of DS1's delicious lemon cake.
