SummerMoon - hello!!! nice to see you.
Emzy we have all had houses that we are ashamed of (well a lot of us!) so you are in good company - dont expect miracles - it will take a couple of weeks to see the difference - just do what you can on todays list then move on tomorrow to the next room - dont worry about playing catch up unless you have loads of time over.

Ok I want to have a productive afternoon ..............not quite sure what i am going to start with.

    toots xx

Right, back from sorting stuff at work, have moved my lockers and they are very tidy (shame they won't stay that way) and caught up on a couple of other things while I was there.

    Lunch and then studying.
ajmoney thats a lot of words:eek::eek: you need to be doing atleast 2000 a week!!! come on then - whats the subjecy not that i will be able to help but I am nosey and whats the writing timetable?

I will post this before lunch and maybe some of you will have ideas too, this is the basic plan.

Music is thought to be a universal language in which everyone can play, however it is only universal among those that speak different tongues. Anyone who comes under the Special Educational Needs bracket is often excluded from traditional music-making due to the notation or their own limitations.

I am planning on looking at

The groups of people who may not be included in 'universal' music making: those with dyslexia, dyspraxia, attention deficit disorder (with or without hyperactivity), tourette's, asperger's, autism, hearing impaired, visually impaired, multi-sensory impaired, cerebral palsy and those with physical disabilities.

I am then looking at the provisions that are already in place for them to learn and play music

How Special Educational Needs are catered for in the curriculum

Music education vs music therapy: there is not always a clear definition between the two, so I will look at this and how they can aid each other

I am then evaluating the findings to see if music can ever be a universal language.

I have lots of notes so this is not as scary as it seems and it is a subject I am very passionate about which makes it easier.

If anyone has any ideas etc then let me know!

    See you after lunch

ETA It may be best to PM anything so we don't clog up the thread.
