How come I've worked so hard, and the house looks completely different (well, most of upstairs anyway) and I STILL haven't earned my stars? :( Just shows what happens when you let things go... hopefully by the end of the holiday it will be back to a manageable state again and I'll be able to get stars regularly.

I've also sorted my 'to-do' list - personal and work stuff. I need to give myself some deadlines and start being strict with myself so it doesn't all pile up and get me stressed.

Penelope Penguin set me off wanting more hens so we went this morning and got six new POL warrens which are a pretty brown/ginger colour. Not as pretty as my Marans but at £6 each they will soon pay for themselves. This meant we have spent the rest of the day building an emergency extension to the hen shed to fit them in with the current two. DH has been a :A to get it finished despite the odd hailstone shower. Fingers crossed they don't have a massive bust up when they get mixed together with my girls tonight - pecking order is called that for a reason .
