Little man still sleeping, then waking up and being sick, then sleeping - hate it when they get bugs like this. Don't really feel like doing the big roast I had planned now
DD meanwhile is absolutely fine and has mixed ingredients from the kitchen cupboards and made a 'cake' of flour, sugar, cocoa powder, water, chocolate buttons ans sprinkles! Have had to have a taste and it is ..er... chocolatey and er....floury! Masterchef will not be calling this afternoon:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

What else - finally fixed the handle to my snow shovel I bought a month or 2 ago - the small diy job you have been putting off for ages task
Ready for action later on in the year or next!
Having this plan to keep me busy has really helped me today. I feel a lot better and my head is not so done in as it was. This seems to be the key to keeping me on track. Keep myself busy.
Plan needs writing for tomorrow too - will do this later alongside exercise plan.

Thought there was something missing in our roast lunch - I forgot to put the yorkshires on! grr! Have sent OH next door to MIL's to find a good frying pan to make pancakes in now, as the only frying pan I have is in the dishwasher, and not very non-stick any more.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Dinner is on and so are the yorkshire pudding Sexy
I love my hob as I can make my own yorkshires rather than the frozen stuff. Children love it as i have enough batter spare to make some pancakes too
i keep taking the odd potato though and need to make sure that I am still hungry ant dinner time.January Grocery 11/3740 -
Pollybear - thanks, think I will give it a miss then. I love them all with the exception of the peculiar one set in space with the zany red head. Can't tell you which one it is as I burnt the book out of sheer annoyance.
Poohbear - that is a brilliant idea for glasses in the bath. I have to read with one eye shut but will try the visor stuff as we have some.
Mrs Chaos - Greenbee is right I also read in the bath, eat chocolate, drink tea and/or wine and have nice candles. I like my baths.
Thifty - screws into plasterboard/stud walls, DH says you need to ideally fit a wooden batten to the wall using dry wall plugs and then fix your rail to the batten. You need to use specific plaster board/dry wall fixings like these , BnQ will do similar ones. We have the opposite problem in that our walls are solid stone so putting anythingup is a nightmare.
(Sorry if someone already answered this, I have just skimmed)
Toots - hope your special day has gone well
Penelope Penguin set me off wanting more hens so we went this morning and got six new POL warrens which are a pretty brown/ginger colour. Not as pretty as my Marans but at £6 each they will soon pay for themselves. This meant we have spent the rest of the day building an emergency extension to the hen shed to fit them in with the current two. DH has been a :A to get it finished despite the odd hailstone shower. Fingers crossed they don't have a massive bust up when they get mixed together with my girls tonight - pecking order is called that for a reason .
For this reason I have done nothing. I absolutely must put some washing on, and do the DW.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hex At last someone else with the same problems as us with solid walls!!
I love the mags etc. that give advice on how to hang pictures in groups etc. Ours are in the places we could get a hammer drill to make holes. :rotfl:business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Pancakes were yummy even if they were a mistake. I got OH to wash up the pan I had put in the dishwasher in the end cos MIL didn't have a good pan. Unfortunately, I'd only made enough batter to make a couple of yorkies each, so there was only enough for 3 pancakes. OH had maple syrup flavoured golden syrup stuff on his, and I had chocolate spread. We shared the third one, so I had maple syrup stuff on that too, and it was really nice. I'm feeling very stuffed now, so I think we'll be off to my M&D's in a minute as we've got to collect some cake from my Mum that we forgot to take home last night, and we'll probably walk off lunch whilst we're there.
Washing is drying nicely on the line - think some of it may be ready to come in now, so will go and check in a minute.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Hello everyone; I hope those of you who "do" Easter are having a lovely day.
:j:jPip and Pandora have arrived; they are absolutely delightful little dogs, and it's going to be a pleasure looking after them. Pip is kipping in the hallway, and Pandora is lying on the sofa next to me as I type!
We had a lovely time at the opera last night, but oh boy am I tired today! I'm supposed to make pasta for our dins - goodness knows where I'm going to get the energy. Pity I don't live closer to AnWs Mum - I could scrounge some of Miss A's lasagne for us!:rotfl:
Mr LW went and did the shopping at the Farmers Market on his own this morning, as I didn't feel up to going - £53.70!!!:eek::eek: But is does include two big bags of bread flour and a month's supply of cheese, and we do go through a lot of cheese.
Well, enjoy the rest of your day, folks. I'm going to ask Pandora to budge up and try and grab 40 winks, I think. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Thanks for the advice but we have tried what your OH suggested already:( He has tried fixing the baton to the wall with 4" screws but they aren't long enough:eek: so he has given up and we are going to get some blinds fitted instead. Shame as I like my curtains from the previous house.

I have had a short walk across two fields and helped DS1 to tidy our hall which is part builders yard and part laundry room. We have church this afternoon so the young strong ones are out for a long walk.I have been 'slashing and burning' in the front garden and have mowed the (what I call) lawn. Cedric across the road (bowling green, his) would not care to see my patch and his sharing the name lawn - it is awful, mine...Mrs Chaos - Greenbee is right I also read in the bath, eat chocolate, drink tea and/or wine and have nice candles. I like my baths.
which is why next time I have money to squander, it's going to go on the bathroom
... I suspect that may be another 5 years though...:(
I've been lying on the sofa reading (Salley Vickers - Dancing Backwards) and eating yogurt coated mangoso I should probably do something useful now... like finish cleaning upstairs... my next door neighbour's OH has just dropped round an easter egg, which was a bit of a surprise (she's the one who used to be a drug addict/dealer and now claims to be clean... she's certainly going through a good/coherent patch at the moment). So now I have to try not to eat it...
Maybe I'll try some loud music and get the rest of the filing and putting away done upstairs - then I can hoover and wash the floors, which means the hoover can then go downstairs ready to finish off down there tomorrow...
Sun is currently shining... although through a gap in VERY black clouds, so I may need to finish drying the rugs indoors.0
