The gym I go to opens at 7.00am on a Sunday morning, and the guy who opened up this morning, last night put his clock back instead of forward meaning he was there just before 5.00am this morning....:rotfl:

Why should people have to be reminded? It happens at the same time every year. The last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October. That's all you have to remember.

It's precisely BECAUSE it only happens twice a year that people need to be reminded. If it haoppened every day or week there would be no need to remind as it would be fresh in our consciousness, but because of the gaps we 'forget'.

I don't. I always remember. And what about Christmas or your birthday, that only happens once a year.

  • I remind people so that I know they will turn up for their shift on time if I'm on shift before them!

If I don't and they've forgotten - then I have to wait the extra hour for them to appear at work. I'd rather remind them of something they already know than work an extra hour.

    Once bitten and all that!

Not everyone is perfect and a fair number of people do need a reminder - and are pleased to get one! I can't see why people that are better organised feel the need to carp about it - if you don't need a reminder thats great - but just have a bit of consideration for those people that are pleased to get one.

    But you're special...lol.

What you mean is that you are only remembering when you've remembered and forgotten when you've forgotten [selective memory].

Xmas - there's more to that than 'changing the time on your clock', hence oyu remember

B'day - why that's specific and unique to you [in your eyes anyway] so we remember these 'special' dates.

    Anyway, stay special.

I need reminding, don't buy papers, don't have telly & only listen to the radio in the car. Even I would need to go some to not realise Xmas is happening yet again, year after year. Same with easter although I don't know what date it is this year, as I'm not religious so doesn't have any impact on my life.
