Why does someone always feel the need to tell everyone that the clocks are to be put

Why does someone always feel the need to tell everyone that the clocks are to be put forward an hour.

This happens every six months, a post appears the clocks go forward, six months later the clocks go back.

WHY WHY WHY does someone feel that need to post?

What did that person do before the internet and forums? Telephone everyone?

Another useless post

Jennifer.

Completely agree, my first thoughts were omg when I actually saw someone had made a thread about it. Think I'll start a thread in a minute reminding people to breathe! "Warning, You Might Die If You Forget To Breathe".

Talking to my job share partner last night she was telling me that the elderly lady she visits and takes to church had altered her clocks on Saturday, then she wouldn't forget.
Only trouble was she'd put them back an hour!

    Two other things about this.

    1) Why do so many people get confused about the clocks going back or foward? Or forget and wake up an hour early/late? It happens twice a year, every year...you should be used to it!

    2) Why does everyone who thinks we should stay permanently on BST or GMT only start saying it on the week around the time the clocks are due to change. If they mentioned it at another time of year, there might be a good opportunity to think about doing it!

    Some need reminding...

I've had somebody this afternoon trying to get in my shop after closing.

Knock on the glass sliding doors and him showing me his watch

Me:- Opens doors - "Sorry we're closed. We closed at 4:30"

Him - Shows me watch - "It's only quarter to 4"

Me:- "No Sir - It's a quarter to 5. The clocks changed today"

    Him - "Oh, I forgot"

Also begs the question, what the hell has been doing all day and not noticed the time!! That's the type of people that need reminding!

I have to admit I forgot! I haven't been at work for a few days, don't buy a paper and have only put the TV on to watch DVDs. So, I completely forgot. When I am not at work I never remember what the date is either so I didn't even have that to trigger my memory.

    WHY WHY WHY

Maybe people looked in newspapers before the net... clearly the post wasnt so useless it if it provoked you to post on it!!!!

Thinking about it further.. if Jennifer56, we were all to follow your wisdom.. that mean we should scrap the birthday diary as for gods sake birthdays happen every single year so we should all know and remember..

Or maybe you would like us to bin our alarm clocks because i am actually fully aware that its 7am i am supposed to get up.. but darn sometimes, just sometimes I forget and wake up at 8am

OMG does this spell the end of the Advent Calender..................... rofl
