Thank you NorbertsMum, your comments are most helpful in my predicament. I should just point out that I did not present any defensive responses until you and your little gang attacked me visciously with no reason whatsoever. Of course, naturally I am going to defend myself, but if you intend on bullying newbies as if this was a playground then perhaps stick to keeping your comments to the playground to. This is supposed to be a constructive site, I should not have to tolerate your snipes.

Is it me or what ??? confused.com:undecided:huh::wall::wall:

Please feel free to jump in anybody who thinks the janiebaby29 posse are being just a tad agressive and unfair.

Huffy - try not to let people upset you. Its quite a common occurence for people to doubt the motives of those that have problems of this type. Some people are almost certainly trying to work a flanker with tales that just don't ring true - but a lot of innocent folks with genuine grievances get caught up with the sniping that goes on. Personally, I would think very carefully before I asked for advice like this on any of the MSE forums - I just wouldn't want to risk the almost inevitable insults !!!

Thanks tbw, that's quite comforting, I was beginning to think it was only me that recognised the barrage that I got as sniping. I came on here in good faith to ask a civil question, and was truely astonished at the response, it was venomous, like I'd stepped into the snake pit. I think I agree with you though, I will think twice about asking a question in this forum again. A shame that the sniping gaggle have made me feel this way, as those that did give constructive advice were very helpful. It's just a shame you have those few masking the benefits of those actually wanting to help. Thanks for your support though.

I'll jump in and say the opposite, that I think your being the aggressive one. Your first post sounded fishy and a lot of people thought so, suspicions were raised that's all, it was you who started claiming that you were being "bullied" and "viciously attacked" and all that other rubbish instead of calmly replying to what had been said. You handled yourself badly by overreacting.

pendulum, nobody asked anything of me to try and establish my credability, indeed a whole load just jumped to conclusions and pounced with their abusive assumptions. It was pack mentality. If you and your chums were anything close to reasonable you would have asked first in an effort to establish my motives rather than just assume the worst about someone. I didn't get the benefit of the doubt, I was jsut attacked. you should all be ashamed of yourself, you have forgotten what this site is for. It's to try and help people, not just a bear pit where you can gang up on any poor unsuspecting victim who happens to stumble in.

Unfortunately you made a few bloopers
    .
You never should have name and address on any e mail enquires, thats asking for spam fraud etc
You should have insisted they come and collected if you had e mails to prove you just made an enquiry asking the price. You should have sent them recorded delivery letters stating you wanted it uplifted it was never ordered enclosing the enquiry e- mail along with the letter.

Saying you would keep it and negociating a price hence giving them your bank details.

Your main e-mails will have to prove you contacted the company on the day you received it asking why they had sent it to you. Not waiting until you received the invoice before contacting them.
As well you should also have an e mail from them stating they would accept £100 for the unit,or told them you were recording the conversation. If you dont have that one saying they would accept £100 your chances might be slim.

Trading Standards or Cab will advise which road to take, but you will have to have all the relevant e- mails to back up your case. Speak to your bank about a chargeback for the extra money taken.

Hopefully you will get some outcome.
