Hi dmg24, I have started using it now, as they said they wouldn't take it back after 30 days. When it arrived I opened it as I didn't know what it was, I wasn't expecting any parcel. Since then it's been packed and sat by the front door in case they sent a courier to collect it.

I didn't send it back as I didn't see that I should go to effort or the cost of returning it. It was available for collection, but they made no attempt. If they'd have given me the price, i'd have said I didn't want it at that price, as it's available much less on the internet. I was merely gathering prices to research the cheapest. Since they are the actual manufacturer I thought they might be cheapest as they wouldn't be adding on their cut. I was mistaken, but I still only asked for the price, not for the item. I didn't ask for them to send it, so didn't see that I should pay to return it.

janiebaby29, I found your accusation insulting , and unwarrented, you did not make any attempt to assess my motives, you just ploughed ahead with an accusation. I think this is intolerable, and far from the spirit intended by this site. I do not wish to correspond with you for fear of being accused of some other misdemeanour. I shall take more comfort for all these other people that are actually being helpful enough to try and help my situation.

You don't need to be Miss Marple, you just need to read the 2nd paragraph of the OP where it is stated that the card details were given in order to pay the £100 reduced price that was offered
    Not even wrong

When I received the invalid County Court papers, I thought to myself, "I can do without this hassle" so I rang them to pay the £100 that they had said would settle the matter. This amount was also more in line with other internet sites prices too. The lady I spoke to took the payment details to process,a nd said she would send a confirmation email once it was processed.

I got an email saying they wouldn't accept £100, but needed £125 to cover the £25 online small claim fee. I responded to this saying that I wasn't paying the fee as their small claim was invalid as they had entered me as both the claimant AND the defendant. I subsequently rang the MD, on a number that was on one of their email's sign off. He was extremely rude and said thay would now only accept full payment of £186.83. I emailed after this saying they could debit my card by £100, but I couldn't afford to pay the full amount, and they refused to accept the item back now. They then debited the full amount which I had not authorised them to do.

I have retained all emails and all calls.

    Does this clarify things?

Now viktory is on the "dish out insults" bandwagon! What is it with this site, does it try to promote helpful opinions to its members, or does it like to encourage member to just insult newbies. I've never had such a barrage of attacks for people that have nothing better to do. i think it is truely awful that the staff allow these sort of personal attacks to take place.

Yes but this was offered AFTER the OP got the recorder , but no reputable company would send anything out without card details and authrosiation ,from the OP ive tried to google this company and I cant see it on my google search .

janiebaby29, please read this carefully! I ONLY ASKED FOR THE PRICE, AND THEY SENT THE RECORDER! Be it a mistake, a freebie, or a ploy to force me to buy it, I don't know why they sent it but they did. Then this whole fiasco started. I don't know how clearer to spell it out to you! I'm sure Miss Marple could have found the website, would you like the URL, and am I allowed to post it?
