There are several boarding places who are members on rabbit united - as per the link above.0 -
We tried a previous rabbit on pellet food as recommended by the vet and she promptly went on hunger strike till the muesli-like food was reinstated.
Ours is hand mixed by the local pet shop and the only bits he won't eat are the ones that are small brown/green flecked pellets - which is what the pellet food looks like I think.
Exactly like these really:
I top up his bowl everyday and despite having no front teeth he has really mastered avoiding them! He builds up quite a store of them, but when I don't give him a fresh handful every few days he will begrudgingly eat them.
His food looks slightly like this but with a lot less seeds and more oats I think:
He is so much more lively since the op, even just sitting in his hutch or in the garden he moves around a lot more and is a lot more inquisitive. It makes me wonder if his teeth were actually causing him a lot of pain before. Trying to catch him can be a bit of a mission - I have to chase him into the house otherwise he hides behind a massive plant and I can't reach him.:p0 -
It all started off funny...Oh look mum, Charlie is on top of Treelo's hutch eating your roses....
10 mins later...Oops mum, I think Charlie has eaten something he shouldn't have....
:rotfl::rotfl:
Charlie is a little monster, he is 4 months old and both him and Treelo rabbit (age 8) have the run of the garden so we know things will get nibbled, no problem with that! Didn't bank on the washing line....0 -
Awww he's lovely
Thanks for sharing, I guess he'll be earning his keep now to pay for a new line

My girly, Lilly, ate loads of grass and hay from the get-go and has never had a problem. She has excellent teeth (very important in bunnies). Better grass and hay than too many pellets/vegetables.0

i think its about 80% of there diet should be hay/grass. so i shouldnt think ud have any problem0
