Ah ok thanks..how will we know if they are or not?
  • were they sold to you as castrated? If not, I am guessing they wont be! Ask your vet to have a look to be sure.

Trust me you will know, you may have to lean down and look underneath when they are hopping about if you can't turn them over and look. But you will know trust me lol.

Look between their legs and see if they've still got their "boy bits" ;)

i had a rabbit and one of his clackers didn't 'descend'...so a visual check might not be the best way of determining if they have their doo-dahs in place - sometimes they don't drop. if you haven't had them 'done' then you need to check with the place you got them from.

Just had my two boys (cats) done.

They don't remove the hairy sac do they, just the bit inside, so they just look like the have tiny shrunken mounds now. One of them had huge ones:eek:

my Timmy has a HUGE empty sac...god knows how big his clackers were before they were removed! (i have a suspicion he used to be a stud cat at some point in his early life).

Have a wee fondle, you will soon know....;)
  • I do believe rabbits can suck their testicles back in (like sumo wrestlers do:eek:) so it may not always be that easy to tell!

    Hi,

I have (I think) a female rabbit called Rosie, she is just over a year old but recently she has started trying to "hump" everything! What I want to ask is if it is normal for a girlie rabbit to do this or has she been a victim of mistaken identity and is really a boy?

    Thanks you...
