Lol, I know what you mean! That tends to be where I kinds get stuck too.
My biggest hurdle is that most men in my age bracket are either newly wed or looking to start their own families... not many fellas in their early 30's have allready done that bit.
I'm not really that bothered - for me the pro's of being single tend to outweigh the cons, but when the boys leave home I'd like to find someone then.... unless I can afford a horse that is, they're far better company
Edit - one guy on there has taken a piccie of himself in the bathroom... and there appears to be two pairs of pants hanging off the shower rail behind him!!!January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Good Evening All
I only flew back to UK last Saturday and am glad its not today however think I would put up with it to feel safer on the plane.
Had lovely day at the hairdressers and had a bonus of a manicure whilst the colour was on so have been nicely pampered. Popped into Asda on the way home and has a tea of chicken stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon followed by strawberries and cream. Am going to have a nice bath in a min and then an early night. Will watch a couple more of the 'Come dine with me's thai I have taped - its quite a strange programme.
Want to get up early tomorrow so can do the ironing, cant moan I havnt touched it all week.
Off now to go and run the bath, have a lovely evening.
PS Enjoy the rest of your Birthday Tootles.
PPS Kazoline - in this weeks Closer magazine is an article about a woman suing a dating agency as everyone of her 'dates' was totally unsuitable - havnt read it yet - might be worth a look.;)0 -

I know exactly what you mean, im quite happy on my own, being able to make all the decisions, although sometimes i think it would be nice to have someone there for a cuddle, or just a moan after a bad day (but then, thats why i like MSE, always someone with a kind word on here!!!). Ive always said, once my 2 are older, i would be able to have my own life back!!! I did go out with one bloke a few years ago, and when i was thinking was he was the one, i did come to the conclusion that i would be happier with a dog, thats when i knew it was time to say goodbye!!!!
Mind you, a bloke with his undies hanging up in his picture ................. ummmmmmm:eek:0 -

Go for it girl - what have you got to lose? As a single person myself I think views have changed dramatically on the use of dating sites. All I would say is keep yourself safe by making sure you dont give too much info and that if you do meet someone that a good friend knows where you are (and yes I have been there done that!!) not met mr right yet but hey you never know
Strangely enough I was supposed to be going to a speed dating event with my girly gang tonight but it got cancelled:rolleyes: My company ran one a couple of years ago and we had an influx of women and no men so we had to cancel that too. Its not easy been single but it does have some benefits so I guess it balances out:rotfl:
Well I will be heading to bed soon, worn out after a lovely day with the Mice today! I now have a new partner in roller coasting in TM DS1 (age 7 btw) The weather stayed dry all day which was great and the sun even made a few appearances. TM and I went back to our childhoods big style again - dodgems and fresh donuts (mmmmmm) (what a lovely family TM has :j )
Take care all

Hi everybody!
As I mentioned the other day Shez inspired me to make some blueberry muffins. Well ladies that inspiration is reality and there are 11 gorgeously hot and sticky specimens in the kitchen as I write! (There is one in my tummy too...). I would send them but they would probably get squashed... but I can confirm that they are totally devine and delicious, so thanks to BigMuffins for the recipe.
The water has come back on, hurrah I can flush the loo, wash my hair, wash the dishes (OK turn the DW on...) and have a cup of tea (with a blueberry muffin of course).
Kaz...go on! Of course you dare!! I have done a little internet dating too, didn't meet any freaks. I did meet an Irish twerp who drank three pints of beer then drove home and went on about how much "stuff" he had. Yes he was loaded but no, never in a million years would I want to end up with someone like that! There were some decent blokes. As Nelski says you use your head when meeting up, but of course you can get to know someone on the phone before an actual meet. Go on, make that call!!!
Essex Girl, sounds like you had a lovely day, I'm really rather jealous. I shall console myself with a blueberry muffin... Shez, I think we could have a "scoff the blueberry muffin as fast as you can" race, we would come joint first!
Off to do some surfing, see you all later.

Well, just dropped a big hint to DH about the date tomorrow and watched the penny drop slowly
. He's always been scornful of other men who forget their anniversarys and now he's done it for two years running:rotfl: . I've told him it's because the memory goes after 25 years.

LOL Snoozer, be thankful it was after 25 years, DH forgot ours last year and we had only been married 5 years
Shez, something Dr Phil said once struck a huge chord with me when DH and I were having problems, it was that in any relationship conflict someone had to be the hero.
Lillibet (hugs hun) You know if you want a chat I am only a PM away, don't string yourself up over the patio, it will still put value and saleability on your house, just look over the finances and work out where you can make cuts. Grab a copy of the tightwad gazette, she advocates saving those pennies so you can spend the pounds when you need to.
Kaz if you become a reiki practitioner I will be your first customer, my friend used to help me with my arthritis using reiki, now she has moved away and I am hobbling after just 5 trips out with my bunch. I seriously need help!
The farm was great and very good value for money. We were there for 5 hours and spend just £28, that was including admission and two trips to the cafe for coffees and soft drinks. We bought food for the animals and the kids had treats from the shop. The place is very small and I thought we'd be lucky to spend 2 hours there but they had so much going on, we fed calves, followed the nature trail, watched the organic herd being milked, sat and petted bunnies and guinea pigs. All in all, had a whale of a time and even DH enjoyed himself.
Plus I came home with two pockets stuffed full of Blaisdon Plums which I am going to use to make a couple of jars of jam tomorrow. I had very big pocketsOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
