    Morning everyone!

Last day at work, then changing hours temporarily next week, so will have to get up on Monday morning:eek: (normally a day off) AND the traffic will be bad as the schools go back, so think of me queuing won't you? I have a plastic water bottle which I fill with a large cuppa tea before I set off, then sit in the queue and sip my tea listening to Bunty and then Terry....... Makes it more do-able.

Had a few nights of interrupted sleep - have a relative who is dealing with inoperable cancer, a work colleague diagnosed with lung cancer and the lovely lady who I used to help do the village Kids CLub with was killed in a car crash at the weekend. Can't imagine what their loved ones are going through. So, although feeling knackered, have decided to seize the day and all that.

    Hugs to all

  • Morning all :D

Nothing new happening with me today. Since I started my big cleaning spree on the weekend and went back to w**k on Tuesaday I seem to have lost all interest in carrying on with it even though I know it needs to be done!

why is it that I start things well and loose interest

Anyway - off tomorrow so hoping to have a big go at it all again then as I want to move on to some of the fun things like planning my holiday :D

    Hope everyone is OK

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

    Good Morning All

Just a quick pop on here whilst I finish my cuppa. Had a lie in this morning but will make that one the last one of the holidays otherwise next week will be too much when they go back to school.

Didnt get much done yesterday after all as took kids to a free funday in a neighbouring village which we only found about at the last minute.

So when finished here am going to get dressed and put brisket in the slow cooker its my first time so hope it turns out nice. Then do a couple of invoices (must also remember car tax:mad: ). Then will set up ironing in front of the telly and probably spend all day there as there is loads:eek: . Also need to wash and iron dd's new uniform. This is the least organized Ive been ever!

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all :hello: Long time no see :rotfl: I'm not even going to attempt to remember who said what as I'm having enough trouble just trying to spell things correctly ( 3 attempts at this paragraph alone :o )

I've been busy lately with lots of time consuming things (like washing & ironing!) so I've not even noticed the time, although I have watched almost the whole of Series 1 of CSI while ironing :p

Plans for today are to find something filling and comforting for tea  and I'm in "back to school" mode. IOW I'm washing / ironing / labelling uniforms  I've even had to wash my brothers new uniform as my mum's washing machine has broken and they're waiting for a new motor for it, suppose to arrive on Tuesday, but that's what they said about 2 weeks ago

Other plans are to clear the desk area up (job 2 on my list, number 1 being the washing up  ) and I'm hoping I can stay awake long enough to listen to a favourite author of mine tonight on the local radio station. To quote the "blurb" for tonight
Thursday 31st August: Tom Slemen and his ghost stories

Liverpool is supposedly one of the most haunted cities on the planet, ghost hunter Tom Slemen is back with Pete to tell us why. He will be reading some of his famous spooky stories and taking your calls. If you have ever seen anything a bit spooky, or maybe you know a story that you would like to share with the North West then get in touch tonight. Just make sure you don’t listen alone!!
:eek::eek: I can see me doing many jobs in the early hours of the morning while wearing my MP3 player with all the lights on :rotfl: Right, need to get on with jobs. Later

Morning everyone. So sorry about your friend, PP. Its awful that she can't even console herself with trying for another baby and it must have been awful to lose this one.

Ageandjo - what a cheek asking questions about your horse! My daughter used to 'rent' a pony at a stables near us and some of the girls there were horrible! Some b*****y and some downright nasty. She misses the horses now that she doesn't go (she's off to uni) but she certainly doesn't miss anyone else!

Jan59 - what some people go through. It makes you realise how lucky you are if you have your health and a good family and that you just need to make the most of every day because you never know whats round the corner.

Its raining and horrible so I won't bother with any washing. I need to get my sewing machine out and mend some of my dogs cushions. Puppy Pug keeps ripping them open and trying to eat the fluff inside! I would also like to get something going in the breadmaker. Might try banana bread or a cake.

    B: Cheerios
    L: Baked spud & salad
D: HM stew and hm dumplings

May get some cleaning done in the bedrooms if I ever manage to pull myself away from my computer! :)

    Morning All

Typing one handed as the small person is sat on my knee.

Just wanted to send my love and hugs to PP, hope today is a better day for you.

I hope I have a better day than yesterday, think my hormones must be up the wall again as I just couldnt stop crying and ended up shouting at dd. I woken up with a headache this morning proberbly as a result of yesterday.

I've got to go back to Tescos later as they didnt give me enough CC points yesterday, your suppose to get double on organic products and as that all i bought it easy to tell they didnt give me enough.

Apart from that I have the biggest ironing pile to tackle, mil has just bought an ironing press so I may take it round there and have a play with that. I also have several more load of washing to do but its chucking it down at the moment so no chance of pegging out.

    Have a good day everyone

Morning everybody :hello: ... Actually achieved a few things yesterday evening  :p ... Got the BM and WM on, and feasted on a dinner which probably cost about 30p (fishcakes reduced to 10p at Tesco, beans from friends' allotment, new potatoes on special offer :D) ... Our Tesco has recently been refitted and (while it's still smaller than most town-centre Tescos) it does now actually appear to SELL a few things! :p) ... Not sure why they bothered, mind, as I always thought that the reason it was so crap and out of date was that the shopping court it's in was going to be knocked down and redeveloped fairly soon (it's a dump!) ... Am off this evening to visit my flat-to-be, to take some accurate measurements ... Need to buy some graph paper from Ryman's at lunchtime so I can map it out and start working out how the furniture and appliances are going to fit (at my last place, which was a newly refurbished unfurnished rental, we bought a WM and got given my current housemate's old fridge - only to discover that the worktops were fitted 2" lower than standard and the appliances had to be wedged solidly under the worktops! ) ... When I get home I'm going to try and get the WM on twice, I'm a bit busy for the next few days (meaning "not at home for more than 2 waking hours at a time until probably a week on Monday" :o) ... PP, ((((hugs)))) to you and to all your friends who are going through rubbish at the moment - one of the girls in my office lost a baby shortly after birth (full term) and has only managed to come back to work in the last couple of months ... ((((hugs)))) also to seraphina ... S'pose I'd better do some work ... Bye for now ... Rzl xx
