    Good morning all

moggins & kaz - have fun today
PP - sorry to hear about your friend & also the accident. Hope you have a better day today - at least after the hospital visit.
twink - hope you feel better soon
everyone else - hello & hugs!

It's a bit grey here, but I don't think it's raining. Hope not, as I have 2 loads of washing to go out & really don't want to use the TD.
I feel a bit tired this morning, as I woke up in the middle of the night with cramp & didn't really sleep after that. Nothing serious, & certainly not real sleep deprivation, but still not my usual self.

    Have a good day!

  • Morning, all.

Dobie, I felt just like you. Came on before leaving for w*** and no thread, so thanks for doing it!

PP, you're really having a time of it. Hugs to you, and to your friend. Having been in a similar situation myself, I know the despair it can cause.

Twink, take care of yourself, hun.

Frugal Jo - duvet movie sounds great. Which one? Popcorn, too?

Ageandjo, second hand chest freezers can be a great buy. No moving parts to go wrong.

Hi, Aussie, I can smell that chicken from here!

Foreverskint, glad to see you made it out of the children's bedroon not too much the worse for wear. That's uncharted teritory in the Penguin household.

Scuzz, only 2 days to go, hun!

Morning, Cat. I love clearing out a cupboard - the satisfaction of it all looking neat. Not for long, around here, though.

Troo, good to see you back!

    Hi, Chipps and Wigginsmum.

Moggins and Kaz, have a great day!

Have made shortbread to bring into work today. Needed to do something to relieve my w*** frustrations yesterday! Will have it this afternoon, with a pot of tea.

Troo Keep at it. Don't let Mr Troo take that pleasure away. You deserve it.

    Good morning everyone.

Just been catching up on the last few days.

Penny-Pincher: What a day to have. Although I don't know your friend my thoughts are with her.

VickyA: Don't know if you have this sorted yet but with First Direct you can change your name over the phone (my sister worked there for a while). To be honest although HSBC and First Direct are part of the same group very few of their procedures are similar. I work for HSBC and found this from talking with my sis.

Everyone else: Hope you are all ok.

Last night after work went to a chinese buffet. There was money available at work for a night out so about 10 of us went. Had a really good night however we didn't eat until 8 o'clock and I think I had too much too late in the evening as I have had a very restless night.
Food was fabulous. One of the best chinese I have had. Tasted even better as the company were paying for it. Now just have to remember to submit the expenses claim

Off work today and first thing on the to-do list is to make today's to-do list otherwise nothing will get done ;)

Yesterday morning I noticed an "iffy" smell in the house but can't work out where it is coming from so will continue my investigations today.

Hope everyone has a great day whatever your plans are :D

Came online early to do my payday money transfer to my savings account - I can't bear the idea of it staying in my current account a moment longer than it has to!
Weather is grim; typical as I have to drive to Sunderland today :( Going to pop in to see my sis on the way home though, for a cuddle with her new puppy.
AussieLass - I could bring you a bottle of stardrops in November! :D
Hugs to all. see you later

Morning all, thank you all for the lovely welcome messages yesterday.

Been up since 5.30 as OH is very stressed about work so we didn't sleep well last night. Done the washing up (no DW for me boo hoo), hung up a load of washing on airers as it's pouring down and put another load in the machine. In work by 8am so I hope to go early. Sarnies made for today so it should be a cheap day, must pop into savers for more washing up liquid, I might even treat myself to another microfibre cloth. Well I've only got 1......

Tired mum, good idea not to buy a horse, lots of riding lessons are nowhere near as expensive or as time consuming. (though I wouldn't part with mine!)

Ageandjo, wow thats a big bill for antibiotics and a tub of ointment.

Moggins have fun in Techniquest, great place.

Hope you identify the smell skystar, did you check all the shoes and socks? :rotfl:

Well, someone rang wanting to buy our car yesterday. They're going to meet OH at the garage today to have a look at it. Hope they buy it otherwise we've got no chance of paying the garage bill! I put it in the paper for £650 (that's what OH told me to put) and he stupidly told the man he would go to £500.. ..however, as long as it's more than the garage bill, I dont care anymore, that car is the bane of my life and I want it gone!!!!!

Phew, feel better now :). Got a nice lot of weeding done yesterday, fingers crossed that the weather is as nice and I can get some more done.

have a good day everyone, and Hugs to anyone who needs one!

    Morning all!

I still haven't got into the knack of remembering what you're all up to but the kittens sound like fun! PP good luck in hospital.

Anyway, another grey day here in Hertfordshire. At the computer a bit earlier than planned - have to pop out to the bank and to the shops to pick up a lemon and some icing sugar. Got paid today so another credit card has been cleared! Shame that the head gasket went on the car leaving us with a £500 repair bill  Oh well, I start a new job next month so that should help.

    B: HM muslei/granola
    L: sandwiches or toast
    D: tandoori salmon.

Off to pop the salmon on to marinade shortly, have a good day everyone!
