    Morning happy campers :hello:

Woo hoo to the start of British Summer Time! Just love the longer nights! Had a wonderful massage yesterday - it was even better knowing it was a present and free! Had a nice quiet night in last night - me and DH decided not to put the box on and instead did a 'Mr and Mrs Quiz' quiz (a book which was a wedding present) over a couple of glassess of wine - very funny!

    Todays list:
    • Smile and sparkle!
    • DH currrently working on the garden
    • Stick to SW all day - slightly over yesterday with the wine....and a creme egg! :o
    • Stick to meal plan
    • Washing on and airer dry
    • Aim to have heating off all day - or at least for as long as possible
    • Have some brekkie then off to explore another 'new' beach with DH and pup - I love our new Sunday routine!
    • Need to do uni reading - at least a few hours. Will do when DH is watching F1
    • NSD
    That's it for me
    Have a lovely day

    • [STRIKE]NSD[/STRIKE]

    • Find a new Bingo site to play – was playing Butlins but they refused to pay out and closed my account

    • Tidy upstairs - have made a start...
    • [STRIKE]Enter a few comps[/STRIKE]/[STRIKE]apply for some freebies[/STRIKE]/[STRIKE]remove samples from magazines[/STRIKE] - found Nutrogena moisturiser, Dior face moisturiser and 50p off Douwe Egberts!
    • Ironing booo!!
    • Try to stick to WW diet. I lost 2lbs last week, have no idea how though :rotfl:
    • Prepare lunch for work tomorrow
    • Check to see if I have the ingredients here to bake a cake – if so, make it...no eggs...
We’ve been really awful with the money this month, we should’ve had a small surplus at the end of March, but instead I’m struggling to make sure we don’t go over the overdraft. So, we’ve decided to move to cash-only in April. I’m getting four jars together labelled: food, fuel, clothes and other (pocket money, entertainment etc). They will be replenished weekly, but once the cash is gone, it’s gone! Hope it works. :)

Well done urg123 on becoming debt free and well done Lemon Tree on paying off your loan early

    Have a good day everyone.

PS – can anyone tell my how to strike-through, I want to be able to cross off stuff!

    Morning all!

Sounds like you had a good evening triangle!

Every so often DF and i have an evening of playing scrabble which is a nice change to watching telly!

Did our SOA last night on DF's dropped wage and we can pay everything inc all debt payments and have £105 left. So it isn't too drastic but would have been £305 left without his drop  Also have to ring tax credits to see if they wil increase at all. So might not be too bad.

    Right today:

Rudely awake DF and tell him we 'lose' an hour not gain one!
    Eggs and toast for breakfast
    Finish DD1's project
Take the kids out to do something
Relit items on ebay this evening
Photos of my craft stuff to put on ebay
1 lot of washing to hang out
    bread on for tomorrows lunches
    Watch the Formula one!
Perhaps visit the tent exhibition at the garden centre , we bought a new one last year but i like to have a nose, plus the kids find it exciting so is free entertainment!!!
Hope and pray DD1's tooth comes out today as she is driving me mad wiggling it around with her tongue!!!

Happy beginning of summer.....my bets are dinner at MIL's will be BBQ today :)

Hi everyone ah its still the weekend.... Not much of a list for me as we are continuing with the floor :(, much try to ignore the fact that its working and focus on how nice it will look later today....

I bought some dylon black dye yesterday off ebay to revive some clothes - much cheaper there than in any stores/online :D

    Today I will:
    • lay floor EXCELLENT. Have just been told by my neighbour that we may have been exposed to asbestos as she thought there was asbestos in the floor tiling we laboured so hard yesterday to lift off of the floor. Called NHS direct who advised the change of developing serious lung problems is pretty low (relatively small exposure) but if there has been damage its too late to do anything about it...:(:(:(
    • dinner from meal plan - prawn thai green curry
    • re-do my french manicure as flooring has destroyed then
    • go for a walk in the evening to the pub to use free drinks vouchers :D
That's all. Btw we haven't put our heating on since end of first week in March - I came home one day and let oh know that we didn't need it anymore, if he was cold put an extra layer of clothing on! ;)

Last night I spent time going through the ideas on this site for gifts under a fiver.. Ive copied and pasted the ones which i think i can use this year and am going to put the items on my weekly shop - e.g the make yourown brownies in a jar - a nice idea for people at works birthdays, and the fairy cake box idea is great for my neice, and the make your own wheat cushion to heat in the microwave - am thinking oH nan, photo into a jigsaw for £8 sounds good too.Theres lots of stuff on there that are time consuming to make but will save pounds and be a personal gift so i'm goign to be organised this year!!! she says!!

what else for today... food from cupboards and a bit of a tidy and some ironing .. the rest of the day my mission is to chill out..

  • Hi everyone, Fay told me ages ago to come here for a proverbial kick up the bum.

Last night I actually looked at my Halifax account! Scary reading. In a nut shell last year I went from a 30k job to a 10k job. I love my new job, I'm looking upon it as a stepping stone for a new career and am gaining loads of training and experience.

However, finances have all gone a bit Pete Tong as you would imagine. However I have 3 sources of money waiting for me if I can get my !!!! in gear to actually sit down and sort them out.

    So. Today. I WILL

    1.Fill out petrol claims-From November:eek:
    2. Find all documentation needed by Council Tax benefit people so that I can claim a reduction.
    3. Fill in a form so that I am registered again as a teacher and therefore can claim for tutoring odd bits of supply.

Reckon doing those 3 things will potentially bring in about £600 so really silly not to.

So there I've said it. So now I had better do it!
