    I managed to get the car out, the most difficult part was to de-ice it, as soon as I put hot water on it, it was freezing over again and I was afraid to have the water too hot in case I cracked the glass. Took around 15 minutes. Managed to do half the Christmas food shop so I'm happy with that.

    Loads to do today but can't even get started until I've thawed out a bit. I've gone back to bed until the heating warms the house up a bit. I need to wash my hair but it's way too cold. Accuweather says it's -6 again but feels -13. Next venture out of bed will be to make a cup of :coffee: I'm posting from the iphone which is fab so any version of smartphone comes highly recommended by me :T

    Go careful. Seems it's a lot colder there than here. Our roads are all thawed out (and I work out in the sticks), think it will be about 2 degrees here today.

    Thanks so much guys:kiss:I did make it home incident free, took twice as long as usual but that was to be expected. I didn't mind though, just glad I was able to get here. Feeling bad for the people stuck at Dublin airport.

    Thinking up a new diary title = too much pressure :D but my summer 2010 title is well out of date by now so I'll have to:rotfl:

    Christmas day has been good, just the usual cooking, eating, tv, reading...It's still freezing here, even the rivers are frozen over and the roads are still very dangerous.

    Some people got stranded at Dublin airport and lots of people don't have water or heating due to frozen pipes. Ireland doesn't cope well with bad weather.

    The ex has been texting again too, I replied and probably always will-he was part of my life for so long but he's not part of the plan for 2011.

    Cold here too, my car windows were frozen inside when I set off yesterday :eek:

    Quiet morning, then collecting Mum and Dad this afternoon - Mum is cooking here as their heating is not working :mad:

    The snow and ice has thawed out so the roads are mostly ok again. Haven't felt the need to go anywhere near shops or sales yet :T
