I was happy Matt won but DD was not impressed with One Direction coming third. Took it easy on the weekend as over exerted myself on Thursday. Will probably do that more than once more between now and Christmas as I want to get soooo much done. Have got my dates for my new medication - 12 and 26 January - so that gives me Christmas free :) I too feel that I don't want to just survive for 2011 so my word for next year will be progress (my 2010 word was relax as I had to learn that).

    Enjoy your Mondays.

@butafli I :heart2: that idea of a word for the year, mine for 2011 needs to be "focus". I seem to be all over the place dabbling in everything.

Glad you can avoid medication appts for Christmas, don't be working too hard getting ready for Christmas, I know there's always loads to do but I'm sure your family are more concerned about your health than the Christmas trimmings. Just organise the dinner and presents and hope everything else falls into place.

Will your DD be wanting to go to X-Factor tour to see One Direction + friends?:D

£35 on onepoll. Unlikely to get to £40 for payout before Christmas but soon:T

I found this in a newspaper today....a spell to improve your finances...and it's so simple I might just try it :D Here's what it said: "If you want to improve your own finances, then get any gold-whether it's thread, a candle or something else-put it out on a windowsill on moon-lit night with salt and something green. Nobody knows why, but finances will start rolling into your house. That spell is the same in every country in the world"

Things that made me smile today:

1)A really stylish white haired elderly lady at the bus stop, she must have been 80 and here's what she was wearing: A red knee length coat but it was 3/4 length on her because she was so petite, a black track suit pants tucked in to her ugg boots, (the ones with the wrap-around strings laces), a leopard print scarf and matching leopard print handbag. She had a second bag as well which reminded me of Fearne Cotton who always carries 2 bags Not your typical old lady outfit but she looked stunning:)

2)Some graffiti written on a courier van "More deliveries to do than Santa":)

And here's some more youtube nonsense from Ireland, almost 1.5 million views and predicted to be the Christmas No1 (appologies to X-Factors Matt Cardle) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljPFZrRD3J8

Ebay says it's 10 days to :santa2: and the retail temptation is starting to get to me  Just saw an ad on tv for a rather useful looking £10/€12.50 cardigan offer from M+S for tomorrow 1 day only--I want one, then there's the Soap + Glory bag from Boots.....

I feel so materialistic compared with so many of the people on here. I got an iphone last week, that should be enough to keep me happy for ages but now I'm wanting more new things.......:wall:

  • Saw the M&S and Boots thingies - sometimes it's really good to be reliant on others to get out of the house :D and I am not really an online shopper so am really lucky :rotfl: I don't begrudge people on here buying stuff they can afford that I can't - it's the nature of the world - and you are overpaying your debts. If you can afford it and not have the guilt after the pleasure thrill of buying then you can decide rationally but do remember not to buy for the sake of buying. There is only you that knows what you are feeling when you buy. Hope that doesn't sounds too much like a mum lecture  :D

Well did nothing the last two days - DD spent most of Tuesday chucking up (sorry to those with a delicate disposition). Have kicked her back to school today but half expecting a phone call as she hasn't really eaten. She also has a dance demonstration/presentation tonight so really hoping adrenaline kicks in for her.

@butafli Is it because of the RA you can't get out on your own? You are so right about the shopping....I do tend to be a bit of a shopaholic although it's rare that I buy any item of clothing costing over €15 so M+S cardigans are just my thing :o

I bought 2:o:o This was rather stressful because it involved long queues in a very crowded shop....and repeat for the second cardigan. I got a teal ribbed one and a long navy one, red seemed to be the most popular but that wasn't really for me.

My mother gave me €50 last weekend and told me to get myself a Chritmas present. The money was in my purse and I paid for petrol with it which is exactly what she wouldn't want me to do so I might prouduce the cardigans and maybe the Soap + Glory gift as the presents I bought for myself with the money. Actually that would be a really lovely gift....

People on the Grabbit threads are going crazy for the Soap+Glory gift. Still undecided if I want one or not but I will be going to the shops in the evening for some Christmas presents so will have a look then, that's assuming there are some left. Can't leave my desk for now anyway. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed with work just now.
