Feeling a bit all over the place today, too many things going on.

I collected the iphone :T with the free ishuffle (in blue). It's not working yet though :( It's supposed to take up to 24 hrs because I changed network. So hopefully I can play with it tomorrow.

Got accepted to another website "searchsciences" (applied months ago). It involves article writing which I could see myself doing but no idea about this site. I activated my account and will see what they send me. I'd like to write a blog too....so many plans for 2011.

Temperatures are starting to rise, it's not so cold tonight. Hoping I can bring the car out tomorrow.

Have a mystery shopping job tomorrow for a supermarket.

@butafli You or the OH might like this, a little cartoon about Ireland and the IMF with lots of fun Father Ted references

More violent student protests in London this evening. I find it so difficult to understand why Irish people won't protest. There was a protest to budget cuts in my area attended by only 400 people:think:

Few more random thoughts: I want to go to the cinema, Chronicles of Narnia and Burlesque (with Cher and Christina Aguilera) are appealing to me.

I have some gorgeous Colinette yarn under the stairs. I need to use it to knit a hat.

I need to dye my roots as well.

The iphone is working:T I :heart2: it. Feeling a bit guilty about buying such a luxury item when other people on here are being advised to get rid of such things but it did pay only €19 for it and the bills are only a tiny bit more than my previous bills. It actually works out much cheaper than it sounds. It's my:xmassign: present to myself.

The roads are ice free here today as well so I brought the car out (as did every other previously snowed in car owner in the county). The traffic was mental.

So with the ice gone for now and my shiney new iphone it should have been a great day but I don't think I could be any more stressed if I tried.

Got given a mystery shop for tomorrow for a toy shop. It's worth €35 so well worth doing but I'll need to be up really early to get there before the crowds.

So I made it into town before 9am so that I could park and do the mystery shop in the toy shop before it got too manic. Wasn't actually that busy. Had coffee and read the papers for an hour in a cafe then I had to go because my parking time was up. Didn't even go to Boots but I did pick up another book for €1 in a charity shop "The Life of Pi"-another one for the "bookclub" reading list.

I downloaded some apps to the iphone last night and managed to get on here:T. Irish newspapers and news sites, the new york times, the weather and the locations of speed cameras. Spent a while looking for some "get organized" apps for to do lists and appointments but haven't found a suitable one yet.

Try not to get too stressed, it sounds like you are doing really well and are organised

I think a lot og people think 2011 will be a tough year  - I think it willbe about surviving rather than progessing!

Hi, Mags - Just popping in to say hello. I too live in Ireland (but out in the sticks, not near the city) and am trying to pay off debts and earn enough to live on - not easy here, is it? And I too feel the same way about driving as you - just keep at it and it does get better (or so I'm told!). I have read all through your diary and am most impressed with how you are tackling things - you seem very focussed. You do wonderfully well with freebies. Glad you are weaning yourself off the ex - that too will get better.

I've subscribed now, so will stalk you (if you don't mind!) in the hope that some of your organisation will rub off on me. And so that I can keep up with what the government and economy are doing, since you are much better informed than I am!

Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

I know but I hate the idea of just surviving. I want progress.

Hi and thanks for posting:) Of course you can stalk me (although there are more interesting people around here:)). I too can confirm that the driving does eventually get easier, I'm much more confident about it now than I was when I started the diary:T

    X-Factor final tonight:)

Matt Cardle won the X-Factor. I like him but not feeling the need to rush out and buy the single. Really surprised One Direction didn't win.
