Greent ...fabulous news! Can't help wondering if OH will really get that new car or if a cheeky op will be made?
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks ahem and Watty - However, DH is already the very happy owner of a new car, which he is loving! Will not affect my plans to be free by 12/2015, though - and am even looking at bringing that forward by a couple of months if I can squeeze the funds to do so :D

And am sure, ahem, that GG's shoes were all considered purchases of needs rather than wants, with best deals sought at all times, of course! I know mine are! ;):D;)

Just back from Stresco. Food spends so far now total £112.66 - so somewhat ahead of where I should be at this moment in time!!! Household = £15.50, pets = £5.88. Not planning on more spends until w/e when I'll need the usual breads/ juice/ milk/ ham/ f&v.

£40 of fleabay sales today, with £55 total bids on items ending later in the week, so hopefully a couple more £ will go on that too :D Need to arrange a courier for one (grr) and will be off to PO for the others - am still using up my stock of 2nd class stamps bought at 32/34p(?) each 2 or 3 years ago when they had a big price jump :D As 2nd class ones are now 53/54p(?) it's a good saving.

Off to Leg0l@nd on Friday with the small 2 - they have an inset day - so the big 2 will need to fend for themselves when they get home (and DS1 will also need to get himself to army cadets as they are going away for the weekend before we get back) Will take a packed lunch (and a couple of flasks in this weather!!) and then eat dinner out on way home. May also take pjs and blankets for small ones so they are ready and snuggled up for when we get back and we can throw them straight into bed :D

Off to Portugal for half term hols (end of month) - really, really looking forward to it :D List making for it starts next week! All paperwork for it is currently sat on my mantelpiece :) We are stupidly excited! :D Only prep other than packing is a new bikini for daughter and euros spends - oh - and I could really do with getting my eyebrows done!!! :D:D:D

Nearly new sale in 10 days - still need to price most of my stuff...... argh!!!! Will get DS1 to help me get it down from loft this evening after school

    Off to

I'm only motivated to list on fleabay at the mo because of our balance being so low (daft really - you'd think I'd have been motivated when it was higher lol!) Am sure my motivation will rapidly soon wane! :p

    Hi Greent

I have been really demotivated on the fleabay front but I have so much to list! Should have done a car boot while the weather was nice but got lazy and distracted.....
    Must try harder!

Well done and what a well deserved holiday you should have!

Fab mortgage and ebay news. I'm really impressed how you remain so motivated. I don't even entertain the bay of e anymore! Holiday sounds very well deserved, enjoy!

    Thanks all :) x

Urgh! Have just sat and listed another 17 items on fleabay...... Still have more to do but have now definitely lost the will to do any more! However, have OPd £75 from sales (and spent another £15 of sales proceeds) and have another £15 received, £10 sold tonight but not yet paid and bids on some items ending tomorrow totalling about £60. So it *has* been worth it but it's soooooooooooooooo laborious :(

Finally got my car back yesterday (after it died 4 weeks ago today and had to be recovered to the dealers) so gave them back their 64 plate car... Then took DS2 out last night (Cubs) in the pouring rain - when I discovered my blowers don't work at all, nor my rear wiper. Cue driving with front windows open so I could see (misted up!) - bit soggy! Took it back to garage today - they thought it might just have been fuses, so I sat there for an hour whilst they had a look - no, it wasn't, so it needed further investigation - so (as it was effectively dangerous to drive in this v rainy weather) could I leave it. Walked to SW. Phoned them at 5.20 tonight.... a technician had looked at it and couldn't find the fault, so a 'master technician' is looking at it tomorrow...... grrrrrr.... so smallies and I are likely to get wet on school run (takes about 40 mins to walk there with them, about 25 at a brisk pace by myself) :(:( Hoping it gets sorted tomorrow!

More food shopping recently - can't remember total - it's in kitchen and I cba to go and look at it! Know it's too high to probably meet target - but I also know I've reduced stocks, especially meat. May revise target to buy more meat! Freezers appear to be mainly full of garden produce - esp pears! Am looking to preserve some in red wine/ syrup this week :D:D:D (well, there's only so much crumble/ cake/ chutney anyone can eat! ;))

NNS on Saturday - and I've probably priced about half my stuff so far :( Will do some more tomorrow. Think I'm just going to run out of time this week, though. Ah well! There's always next time!
