It's been a very long week already and it's only Tuesday! Not going to get any better this week, but such is life! 

Lovely Sunday lunch out with friends last weekend- mains were gorgeous, desserts not so much - but it was nice to be out and not cooking! 

Temperature has definitely dropped- I had ice on my car this morning at 7.30!! ❄ not impressed! 😄 Also noticeably chilly in the house when I got in around 5.20, so the heating has gone on early - I refuse to be cold when I'm already layered up!

Mine has gone on this week. Just set to 18 degrees! It does mean the bathroom is warm in the early morning!

It is on my list of things to do this week too.  Wedge myself down the side of the fridge and set the timer controls.

I had to read back (having read several diaries since I was thinking "What?..."). I am chuckling now, imagining this. Sorry. We have a moveable Honeywell thing because our boiler controls are less than convenient. It even unclips from the wall thing so I can take it either to somewhere the corresponding thingy can see it (we have a huge chimney in the middle of the house that Wifi does not lend itself to) or to somewhere cold so it "talks" to the signal receiving bit to say turn it on. I can't imagine me wedging myself down the side of an appliance
