So DH and DS2 have confirmed positive postal PCRs now (after negative drive through tests, like me) and DS3 has literally just tested positive on lat flow - he came home from school at 3.30pm with a headache and is cold and achy. Another postal test just ordered for him as I just don't trust the drive through centre any more..... sigh.. DD is now hiding in fear in her room!!
I am back to work on Friday and have been doing a little bit of wfh yesterday and today. I feel generally much better - I still have a cough and my breathing is not quite right and my ears are blocked (feels like when you're on a plane) so my hearing is also a bit dodgy! But so much better than a week ago
DH's bday today..... not much happening here - although we do have cake, as I'd ordered one about a month ago, thankfullyPlanned takeaway is NOT happening!
- 3 of us can't taste anything! And PJs are the main item of clothing!
We do have food supplies - and DD is technically still safe to go to the shops if necessary - and I'm able to go from Friday amI think she is getting bored of what's in, though - although we do have lots - she would just need to prep more of it herself (my family are too used to me doing stuff)

Ds3 now has a confirmed positive pcr so DD is running scared...!
Back at work tomorrow. Have just stripped the bed - much needed - and bedding as gone on a long hot wash. Duvet is on the line airing and throw was washed yesterday. Pillows are also out airing. New bedding sitting on blanket box in bedroom awaiting being put on later. Windows are wide open either side of the room in there to get a good through airing! Will have a much needed shower later so both the bed and I will be clean and fresh 😄
Today's other tasks (after washing the bedding and making the bed back up) includr some ironing, some work (sigh) and a really good clean down in the kitchen with hot soapy water - DD is truly hiding out in her room except for emerging for food and sink, so I want to make sure everything is OK for her. That little lot will probably wipe me out, so that will do! 😃
Money news... we finally have someone to do the boys' bathroom 🚿🛁 🙌🙌- and a date in Jan. Means I need to get someone in to change the door and architrave before then if at all possible, as the tiling goes up to the door frame- a job to look at other the weekend- maybe!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

Oooof! That was October lost to C0vid! DD finally succumbed 2 full weeks after I did - so missed going away with the boyf - they have managed to tfr the hotel dates to December, though, so only lost the (cheap) train tickets. She came out of isolation at midnight, so boyf is here for the weekend - it's their 5 year anniversary today
DS2 & DS3 are fully recovered and DH and I are still suffering - both so tired and have lingering coughs. It's half term and I had so many plans- but we've been just too tired! House is a tip - too ill/ tired to have done anything and no cleaner for 4 weeks either. Have done basics of kitchen and bathrooms and laundry & ironing and am very thankful for the robovac!!
Not much else to say, really - 2 weeks of a heavy cold going around all 5 of us followed straight after by 4 weeks of c0vid - we are truly wiped out! We did go and see DS1 at uni for a night this week - stayed in a Premier Inn (was under £70 for the 4 of us for the night including breakfast) - took him out for lunch, dinner and spent £50 in the smkt on food for him!
Both of us have been paid, so I need to do some money shuffling - will buy a few more PBs for DH and stick some more in my ISA and SIPP. We have also bought a new mattress for our bed (our current one is almost 12.5 years old and is beginning to be not so comfy) - delivered at 7am this morning!
Fingers crossed November is healthier!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -

I think you can forgive yourself for the house being a tip. You've been overwhelmed by sickness this month. Concentrate on recovering, you can tidy later.5
