Not even contemplating taking down the christmas decorations yet! Too busy with ironing. Don't know how you are so organised.
Happy New Year!5 -
Very productive day today - DH took all the outside Xmas lights down and I packed away all of the kitchenware, decorations and mini trees and then enlisted help of children for the 2 big trees 🎄🎄. Everything has been packed away jn the respective labelled crates and put neatly back in the garage loft. A handful of decorations have been culled to bin or a box for CS (labelled as Xmas so it can go straight in the Xmas storage area at the shop
) A file of old business paperwork from 8 years ago has been emptied and shredded (just main bound accounts kept) and the remaining business paperwork from last year has gone into that RU box instead
DH has changed the dining room lights - 1 ceiling light and 2 wall lights and the old ones have been offered in free sites just in case someone can make use of them
Packaging from new lights has all be sorted for reuse or recycling
Next to list on free sites are 2 sets of wired speakers - DH has a new turntable for his vinyl and is planning on some Bluetooth speakers for it. Hoping someone can make use of them
Dinner is steak and chips or chicken/chorizo jambalaya - depending upon personal preference. Steak and chicken were both YS in Dec and it also gets some tired veg used up in the jambalaya:)
Robovac has been around the ground floor twice collecting up all the detritus from Xmas. He is wonderful 😍😍.
Need a very small food shop tomorrow (looking at £20-25) and will hopefully combine it with taking something back to n3xt if they are doing what they did before for returns (had a window open to deal with them!)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205 -

Well it takes all sorts! The ironing fairy lives in Scotland, is 91, and has not been here for over a year so the lids of the range hotplates have been deployed as decoys since it was switched on in autumn. Everything else just gets 10 minutes in the tumble dryer and hung on hangers - ironing is 2 pillow cases and possibly up to 3 tea-towels, and only in Spring and Summer!South_coast said:
