Ah - he was fine afterwards, thank you both - I think he'd overeaten/ over-drunk - he'd had dinner then declared himself still hungry at bedtime so had some cornflakes - and 2 glasses of milk - I think his stomach just rebelled at having that amount of stuff in it at that time of night - it all came up and then he was bouncing around again! :)

Been 'shopping' from the loft again today - PJs and dressing gowns for DS2 & DS3 previously worn by DS1/ DS2 or were bargain purchases some time ago (a new pair of Lego Batman PJs for instance for £1.50!) Also found a couple of tops for each of them and a fleece for DS3 which had been a present for DS2, but was almost too small when he received it so had hardly been worn. I do need to buy new PE shorts for DS2, though - we seem to jump from his current (too small) ones age 7-8 (he's 10, coming up 11) to age 13 which are huge on him! :) The boys are now bored of trying things on, though, so I shall have to persuade them to finish the pile at bed time (I won't make them wear it if they don't like it/it's a weird fit on them) All items which have been 'accepted' by them are now ready to go in for a quick 15 min wash to freshen them up. It's a lovely day here again so I'm hoping I can get them dry before tonight :)

  • Love the idea of shopping from the loft :D

Do you have everything arranged in boxes by size? I really need to do this soon as I currently have three years worth (x 2!!!) of baby/toddler clothes hidden/stashed around the house that need organising and putting into storage

Yes - I used to just have it all in random boxes in the garage loft - now it's sorted into what's for each child and labelled with their name and the size/ contents (such as books) - means I can just grab the box with the next size up in it. I'm down to 3 boxes up there for DS2 and 2 for DS3 now of general things - and 1 box each of uniform items. The boxes aren't huge, either. And when things are outgrown from DS3 they are either priced up for a NNS if in good enough condition and a better brand, donated to charity/ a friend with a younger child or recycled straight off.

Thanks for the congrats for DD :)

We do have a Clark5 outlet but it is new, small and doesn't do appointments :( - and because it's small there's not a wide variety of shoes so I don't make it my first point of call for shoe shopping at this time of year. I do try it at other times, though and have struck lucky before :)

Shopping with DD today for basics such as new jeans - you'd think that sounds easy.... but it's definitely not! x

Thank you :) She is very excited and has been finding her housemates/ flatmates (She is in room number x, in flat number y - which is itself in house number z) via a facebook group - so they're all getting to know each other in a basic way beforehand.

Shopping today was successful - we left home half an hour later than planned but got into Cheltenham for 10.30. Main stop was H&M and I excelled myself in finding lots of things which she liked (unusually!!) - even if everything was black/ grey/ striped black and white..... (other than regular blue jeans) - we managed 1 pair of jeans (none else in her size - will have to order online), a 'leather' jacket and 5 or 6 tops, I think. Then 2 more tops in Primark. Result! And not too expensive - we split the H&M purchases into 3 transactions so that we could use three of their 'close the loop' £5 vouchers (I had one voucher from last week and took another 2 bags of textile recycling with me today to get 2 more) so we saved £15 :D Lunch was a £1 Boots meal deal courtesy of O2 priority moments :) I also bought DS1 a large ornamental metallic skull for his room - he'll like it! :)

Came home, had a rest and then the 5 of us went to the cinema to see Finding Dory - which was surprisingly enjoyable. Saw a trailer for 'Storks' and decided that we have to see it as it looks so crazy! :D

Home again and now I need to sort dinner - late as everyone is stuffed on snacks from cinema (bought in A!di and taken in, of course :))

    xx
