Yep!! :rotfl:
Weigh-in at SW today - most impressed to have stayed the same after the weekend's consumption of chocs/ cake/ alcohol! We then went out for afternoon tea......
Wasn't the best (was also not the worst!), but it was a Groupon deal, so a good price. Brought some of the cakes home for the teens
Had parents evening for DS2 & DS3 tonight (my mum came to look after them as the teens weren't back by then and DS3 still too poorly to come) - both had fab reports :j I am very lucky that my children are generally very self-motivated when it comes to learning and the younger ones also absorb a lot of info from the older twoThey are all going to miss DD when she goes to Uni - although there's almost 11.5 years from eldest to youngest they are all quite close, which is lovely. OH isn't close to either of his siblings at all - never was - and myself and my (half) sister didn't meet until a few years ago.
Right - I've been putting it off but it's time to tackle the ironing mountain again.....
Happy Tuesday!

Sorry I missed it too
Hope everyone on the mend and loved the happy family childrenMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hi Greent, I have finally caught up on your entire journey. Wow, wow and wow - what a fantastic achievement. We also have four children, and I had many chuckles on the way through at the similarities between our multi tasking lifestyles of taxi service, meals, ironing, sorting. You have so inspired me to declutter everything in sight. Recently did my wardrobe and found so many weird and wonderful things. Where do they even come from? I cannot remember ever putting a cycle lock with no key into my wardrobe - but there it was:rotfl: Seeing someone else achieve MF status really makes it feel achievable. Very late but a million congratulations to you :T. Also a belated happy birthday, and hope all the mini Gs are feeling better now.Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. Thank you

ALL children finally back at school on Friday - smallest one washed out, and very tired and grumpy after school as a result but managed the day:T - although I was a little bit peeved with school that he did PE outside in shorts and tshirt with no coat or jumper on - and they knew he'd been poorly and he still has a hacking cough
Disastrous electrics day yesterday - Kitchenaid came apart whilst making dough (pin moved out and couldn't get it back in) - phoned Debenh@ms and arranged to take it back to store - had a bit of hassle with the shop assistant as I'd bought it on an offer day and the price had also since gone up so they wanted to refund me £386 and charge me £449 for the replacement!(item 9 months old!) - no chance!! In the end they gave me the new one for £381 (figure that!!:rotfl:) to get their computer system sorted (couldn't price override to a specific amount, apparently, so had to use a %age discount) Took about 45 minutes or so to sort. Sadly they don't stock that colour in store so it's being delivered - up to 5 working days to arrive - I may have to buy some bread products this week!!!:eek:
New iron (bought 28/10/15) also stopped working - with a pop and a fizzing noise and wouldn't turn back on. I thought that a replacement would be simple to sort, as it was easily less than 6 months old and purchased since the Consumer Rights Act came into force.... how wrong I was!! I explained it to the assistant, who referred it to the manager, so I explained it again. He said he could book it in for a repair, I said I wanted a replacement (still on sale on the shelf next to where I was - and now at a cheaper price) He said he couldn't do that as it was over 30 days old - I said that was irrelevant as it was less than 6 months old and said about Consumer Rights Act. He pointed out Head Office telephone number to me, pushed the piece of paper back over the desk and said they were open on Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm. I told him that he was unhelpful! ANyway, to cut a long story short we got nowhere. He was rude and unhelpful and essentially said I was lying. I now have a non working iron and a pile of ironing - I did ask if I could borrow an iron, but he ignored that suggestion!
Then - to make the 3rd thing - the downstairs loo lights (2 spotlights in the ceiling) stopped working last night. Changing the bulbs made no difference, so it looks like we need an electricianGrrrr!
I am off to my sister's today for a party - and said I'd take baked goodies with me. Iced buns are off the menu as they are too hard by hand, but am going to make some cute cup cakes in a mo and maybe a cheesecake type thing (although I ate half of the ginger biscuits I bought for the base because I was so grumpy at not being able to iron!!:p)
In other news, freezer/ cupboard eating is going really well. Total food spends this month are about £120 so far (inc buying a FR chicken, as we had absolutely no joints left!) - and I need to buy more gingers biscuits and some bread rolls today- and OH is actually on board this time! :j Still spending a lot on fruit and veg (and milk - bought 28 pints yesterday) but I can't help that, really - and fresh veggies for the guinea pigs are included in my total - and they need quite a lot at this time of year, as the grass is only just really beginning to grow.
We have had to throw away a couple of items which had spoiled but total value < £5. This is why I want to have a good use-up of things in there, though, to ensure that nothing is too old
I don't think that I have any money news to report other than food spends. Nothing sold (no attempts made) , no cashback in (nothing bought to get cashback!) and no big purchases made/ planned right now (keep getting thwarted on buying things!). I don't want to take any more dividends this tax year, so am keeping a tight rein on things for the next few weeks, and will probably take one in April. Have a little fund building up for DD for uni, too. Oooh, yes - also have student finance application to do with her this week - what fun!
Now time to bake, so they have time to cool before I ice them

Sounds like you've got things in hand, but wow, that's one bad amount of service from a shop, as in *no* service. I'm glad you stuck up for your rights!
I'm currently having the same sort of trouble - just installed a browser update, and now it keeps crashinggrrrr.
