Just been updating spreadsheets and the milestone reached in Dec was that our monthly interest was £28.51 - so daily interest was less than £1 for the first time!:j:j From vague memory, I think daily interest was over £13 when I started keeping this diary - so a month's interest is now just over 2 days' interest back then - wow! Next notable milestone will be a 4 figure mtge - s/sheet shows March - But I know it'll be Feb (there's only about an extra £50 to find to make that happen )


Christmas shopping still needs doing and my house is chaos. DD's 17th is next week, too!! Too much PTA stuff going on and at the charity I volunteer for. Also need to go and see friend and her daughter in hospital down the M5 - 16yo daughter has bone cancer, diagnosed just over a month ago. She came out of ICU today. Fingers crossed... Things like that are important, though - and make you wonder why we waste time and energy getting stressed over small stuff xx

Hi Greent, sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. A close friend of mine has a terminal illness and it is such a waste of a life.

Definitely - thats what I want to focus on with doing reiki as self healing - my low energy levels are ridiculous. I'm not terminal anything, though, and I've got yet another chance to turn things around. Heartbreaking to think of a 16 year old going through that sort of diagnosis and treatment, all the best to her and her mum and family.

So sorry to read about your friend's daughter. A friend of mine had his daughter diagnosed with a rare cancer last year. She is now clear but it was a heart wrenching time for him. Really puts things into focus ...

Will do a general 'catch up' post later, but have been thinking of plans for next year....

• Pay off mortgage
• Start to re-build savings after they took a massive hit last year when DH had no job
• Start Florida 2016 Fund!:eek:
• Pensions....
• Lose 2stone (min - could do with more, but 2stone would make a big difference)
• Get fitter - will also hopefully help with above target!
• Make £1500 (net) from selling stuff - whether ebay, facebook, nearly new sales or other
• Declutter house & garage - useful to help to achieve above target:D
• Simplify life (am not rejoining WI as part of this - it's become a chore, rather than enjoyable of late, so clearly I need a break)
• Tackle to-do list of jobs on house/ garden/ garage (somewhat neglected of late)
• Look at BTL and decide what to do - needs some work on it whether we keep it or sell
• Make memories together as a family - very important:)
