Sal - I tried so hard with both of mine to make them readers....DD1 will devour 4/5 books a week, DD2 - well I'm lucky if she reads 4 a year....she reads really well - always been above her reading age but just doesn't get the enjoyment from it. If I suggest she goes to bed with a book, she'll ask to go to sleep.

And talking of DD2.....she's now sporting a lovely plaster cast on her wrist/arm. Fell over at school (at 11am) and they strapped it up and didn't tell me. By the time she got home her fingers were nearly blue where the swelling had made the bandage tight. Spent 2 hours at the walk in clinic - they think it's broken but the xray department was then closed .....they've cast her to save further damage and they'll xray on monday. She's feeling very sorry for herself..........so will the school when I rant and rave on Monday "Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
:rotfl: Phew! I keep getting told I'm too picky, so I did wonder if this was a step too far!
But seriously...my XOH and his family used to snipe at me for being 'posh' (I'm SO not!!) if I dared to use words of over two syllables. After years of feeling like I was being sneered and laughed at, I gave up and let my brain switch off.
It wasn't until I met Voldemort that it really woke back up again. Guess he had his uses.

Is it a bad thing if Pint joins the AA before Sunday mainly as his van is on the verge of giving up the ghost and we need to get us, plus it, back home? I'd pay for the full year obviously, just wondered if anyone thought it was naughty...It hasn't broken down, but it will** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
