I've decided to take a break from MSE for a while, find that i'm focusing more on this site and debt than life itself of late and need a little space from it all before it takes over completely :rotfl:

Will be carrying on with my money saving and aims, just not letting it become my life which it is starting to do......not healthy for me as been there before and it's depressing!

Anyhows, will pop back from time to time and update/read but for now i'm off the MSE wagon for a bit.

    Take care all xx

    Hiya Choc :hello:
Enjoy your MSE break, if it's taking over your life some time off is definitely needed.
    Have a good week xx

Good plan, I'm falling into that trap myself. was getting really depressed this morning that I couldn't pay anymore off my credit card for another ten days. think I need to keep myself busy with other things for a while (cheap things).

So much for the break :rotfl:Just been updating my totals so wanted to come on and update sig etc for when I return.....will still be part-time MSE'er for a while as so much else going on that debt isn't going to be my main focus for next month or so - I will however do my best ;)

Off to update my sig then sign off x

I can't do it, I just can't leave you guys!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Just kidding, I could but I shouldn't ......been looking at my spending habits and it's clear since my holiday just two weeks ago that i've been living like I have no debt  :eek: So my friends, I have to come back, regardless of whether I feel like I need a break as I can't trust myself to not put myself in a worse situation than I am already. So annoyed with myself for my rubbish spending and lack of self control - it's not good.

Anyway, I will leave it at that and be back Monday for a 'fresher start' as away camping over this weekend (see more money spending :o) and not back until Sunday.

    Speak soon xx
  • Ah choc what will we do with ourselves. The budget cut as woken me up in that now is not the greatest time to have a ball and chain round the neck :-) see you after the weekend be good x

Same here Happy, it's been a bit of a wake up call and last night even more so as visited my sister who has just had a little baby girl and thought....I want one....but can't afford it! So frustrating...you know what I mean!

Know that feeling - I always want a new tent every year and we have 5 already for various purposes :rotfl:
  • 5 tents? For various purposes ? What would they be? Choc I am with you there, the problem is I'm like i could spend 5k on a stud wall and rest of house decorative purpose and I want to but then I thought, shoot this budget thing is like saying 2 years time and we might be feeling a bigger pinch.. I'd rather have no commitments than a nice decorated home! I know it pains me to say that and in still battling now lol but I'm living in a bubble if I think I can plod as I am lol x

Well....OH had a couple before we met so didn't spend on all of them but we have big one for proper camping hols i.e. wk in france....really small one for wild camping i.e. putting up on mountain....couple of mid ones for adhoc wends and a specialist one for extreme weathers....as you can see we do like our camping, probably a bit too much :eek:

'I'm living in a bubble if I think I can plod as I am lol'.....my thoughts exactly, it's hard but I hate to think what's going to happen in two years time after the 2 yr pay freeze and he possibilities that may arise in between - scary! I'm aiming for lesser financial commitments debt wise to balance out my life and make things easier....let the battle commence!! :p
