Morning,
Nothing interesting to write this morning. Spent the evening tidying and researching a possible trip (camping) to the Italian Lakes. It'll have to wait until next year some time but I really would like to do it at some point. I'm thinking backpacking - flight to Milan (spend couple of days there) then train up to the lakes and move about using the ferry services and so on....need to research a lot more though. Also have Thailand on my list to do holiday wise, it may actually work out cheaper to go here first as flight is most expensive thing and then very cheap where as expensive in europe due to euro....perhaps I can plan two trips.......dream land of Choc :rotfl::rotfl:Thailand early 2011 and Italian Lakes late 2011....now I know I have gone mad - HELP!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Bored with work, money and generally everything - need to get back some motivationHave this weekend off as no overtime, going to concentrate on a little me time, relax and take it easy. Going to a friends tonight for evening so will be good to have a girly catch up
Hope everyone is well and have yourselves a good day! x0 -

Good morning choc
The lake camping sounds great, a girl who worked with us went to a hen do on a boat on the lakes and she said it was gorgeous! Thailand is somewhere I would also love to go, we looked at lots of pics on Google earth a few weeks back. The trips can be your motivationAfter all, anything is possible if we out our minds to it!
Hope you have a nice evening with your friend tonight as well

Nicely put Happy
Feeling more optomistic. OH and I just been through figures (as we know them) and we have about 5k left over after all fees etc have been paid which is just fab :T We're going to stick this into an ISA and not touch it, our emergency/long term savings have now started.
We are due about 1k due back from deposit on our flat which we will use towards cost of moving, new washing machine and fridge/freezer - researched costs and should cover it plus we will start putting money away again into 'regular savings' prob another 500 each in July so all is well in Choc land ready for move
Feeling rather more settled now and can concentrate on my debts again now - yay :j0 -
choccy ! ta daaa the emergency fund could be the holiday fund ... when you know things are improved i would imagine you will be in a better position come 2011 with savings and may be able to get a good deal with such a chunk ... im not saying blow the whole lot im saying dont sit and look at it anticipating an emergency when you know things are on a par you may beable to utilise some as emergency holiday :PI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Yep, totally with you on that one Happy! It's not an emergency fund as such but just savings for future, down the line....it's all we have right now. The plan is to have savings that we don't touch and savings that we dip into when and as such as things like hols and so on and then our joint acc/own accs.....things will be much better financially (hopefully!) in 2011 so I envisage more surplus cash being available and so on....for now it can sit there and look pretty
Just had another bonus - we won't have to pay full rent in Jul as moving out early Aug so our joint account will be over £400 better off - this just keeps getting better and better
OH and I were just trying to work out how we've done so well and it's because we're really cutting back on luxury items such as clothes, adhoc meals out, me with magazines and random trips to tescos, food shopping with a list, OH not buying so many dvds etc and we're both careful with fuel and so on - not always fun but we've got used to it now and it's really paid off. Also we've both been working hard with overtime etc which this month has allowed me to put away 500 into savings which I could never have done before :T
I feeling good and my motivation has now popped back to say hi0 -
