    Morning!

Not so sunny today :(, lets hope the sun breaks through the cloud. Long day for me yesterday, hence no updates. Did not get back from London until gone 11pm and am super tired today!

Had a great meeting at work and then an even nicer evening at the pub afterwards with friends....sunshine....courtyard.....pimms :p Was bliss and exactly what I needed after a long commute, can't say the commute home was too fun though with a whoozie head and rocking train :rotfl:

So, back to being super organised and on top of things - have a to-do-list for OH to do today - figure i'm working, he's not so he can do some bits ;)

Have organised for a friend to come round tomorrow evening for a run and dinner - get to catch up and exercise at the same time. Have been invited to catch up tonight in home town, that would involve a 70mile round trip so have said no to save on petrol costs as know I am doing the trip on Saturday to see another friend - can't do it all as it's £15 a time on average petrol what with getting there and back, not to mention the driving about whilst there. Love seeing my friends but will have to cut back a bit now or try and do it all in one day. I'm lucky that they are lovely and like to come up to see me as i'm a bit more rural and they love the coutry pubs :D

Nothing much else to report in Choc land, all is good. I have a message on my answer phone from estate agents (the normal nice lady :)) to give her a call back so fingers crossed we may have an update today - probably of nothing we don't already know but I think it's important that we keep in contact and don't let them think we are happy to wait forever

Right enough yappings from me already - have a good day all :) xx
  • Hi there Choc,

I have just read your first post and wow its inspiring! I am going to sit down later on and go through the rest of the thread as Ive got to finish getting ready for work!

But one thing which really inspired me to ask you is how did you get the motivation to clear 20k in a year? I am struggling with 8k.... due to my own spending issues and the need for spending and not being motivated in anything!!!

Am looking forward to reading your whole thread later!

    Hey there,

Certainly know how you feel with spending issues and motivation - it's hard! I was/am lucky in that I don't have any interest or charges for quite some time as had to go along a dmp line originally back in 2008 but now I manage them myself and at the moment they are all still happy to keep it on reduced/no interest - a whopping 800 odd of my salary goes towards debt payments hence being able to pay that much off but doesn't leave much left after - I recently popped all my totals on a post so you can see a long way to go and a lot of hard work. I've only 'really' stood up and had what you can call a 'proper light bulb moment' of late and the guys here are really supportive.

Look forward to hearing from you soon xx

Well no update from estate agents - she has called the people that we are buying from for an update and said that she will get back to us. She's a very lovely lady and helped us loads when starting out being first time buyers.

Only another 3hr and 45 mins left to go at work  Feels like I have been working forever - what a life!

Thinking financially should manage through this month as long as no unexpected cost come up - fingers crossed. Next month should be easier as overtime in pay due and already worked some overtime that is due to go in June pay I am really hoping that debt repayment fund can start moving faster from then on - woo hoo :j

Note to self - update sig later!

Hi Choc-addict, hope you've finished work by now. Nice to see you leaving OH a list of jobs, thats what I have to do to get things done when I'm at work, still can't get DH to master the washing machine though!

Fingers crossed the next couple months stay good for your debt busting fund. Pen :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Thanks Pen, OH is a nightmare when it comes to doing things, he does get round to them but not in my time zone  Yesterday he thought it would be a good idea to start sorting his summer clothes- now the bedroom looks like a jumble sale....grrr! I feel for him as yesterday was his only day off in about a week so I don't want him to spend it cleaning/clearing but he bothered for about an hour or so it'd had been done but he drags his heels.....think the words are 'yep, i'll do that in a minute'.....a minute in his terms means a day :rotfl:Ah well, things things are sent to try us! He's perfect in every other way apart from housework - that's normal isn't it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
