Oh !!!!....ending the weekend in tears and over what.....money :(

Just added up my total debt and it's shocking still, gone through my account can see no way of being free of this and quite simply just want to wallow for five minutes whilst OH is at the shops.

Sorry to rant, just need to get it off my chest. Tom is another day and life goes on.....just hate money!

Will update hopefully in better spirits later. x

It will be ok Choc-addict, you will manage it. Its just going to take time (I know that's not what you want to hear).

Try and stay calm with it hun, otherwise you will make panic money decisions which always cost more in the long run. Keep debtbusting bit by bit don't try and scare yourself with it. You are doing a good job x

Aww thank you guys :A It's strange but knowing I have 'virtual friends' who really understand how I am feeling helps so much - so thank you.

I'm feeling a tad better now and know that I am making good progress, albeit in a way I didn't want to but needs must I guess and it's not forever. OH has been fab in reminding me that since Nov 2008 i've cleared over 20k of debt and am clearing over 700 per month by doing what I am doing - I need to keep remembering how well I have done, not the fact that I have £43k of debt remaining....

    So.............

'Hello, my name is Choc-addict and I have 12 creditors and in total and owe them a grand total of £42,975.18  I pay £822.04 per month to these creditors and all bar three are on nil interest at the moment and the other three are on reduced interest rates. If they carry on as they are I stand to clear my debts in full in about 4 yrs time, however I am going to beat this debt soon'............

There said it, wrote it, feel sick but much better in a way?!

So my this is what I owe my creditors at present -

    Debt 1 - 902.30
    Debt 2 - 1058.25
    Debt 3 - 2796.48
    Debt 4 - 3083.52
    Debt 5 - 3428.36
    Debt 6 - 3462.57
    Debt 7 - 3530.60
    Debt 8 - 3683.97
    Debt 9 - 4175.61
    Debt 10 - 4222.61
    Debt 11 - 4330.24
    Debt 12- 8300.67

:eek:Putting them down on here feels like the walk of shame, that said I think I need to in order to remind me just what a mess I am in

So now I really need to start thinking longer term, as penelopedee said, it will take time and I think I need to remember that and that it won't just vanish over night. It has to be small baby steps but also a lot of self control on my part because as much as I can blame some of it on family, interest added, fees, charges, ex boyfriend from hell, it was my decision to make every single transaction made as I was was the only one who could use the cards/take out the loans so I need to take responsibility for my own actions in all of this. I've considered myself told off by me :rotfl:

So now onto the positives - I WILL beat this debt sooner rather than later. I have the fantastic support of this site and you guys. I have a lovely OH who supports me in so many ways and I have a bright future ahead :D

Sorry if i've ranted away here guys, I just needed to get it all out and down if that makes sense. Thanks again, you're all lovely :)

It is great to actually get it all down in a list. Scary but kind of necessary.

You have done SOOOOOO well to get your debts down by 20k in such a short time and 4 years at maximum really isn't too long to wait. Just make sure you remember how well you have done!

    GGGRRRR to ex partner!

Just carry on doing what you are doing and it will decrease and you will feel good about it!! xxx
