Have a great weekend choc!! I wonder if your dad will have some £2 coins for you!!! :D

You are a lucky girl to have great friends. I am lucky that out of my friends only one is really better off money wise then us and she is quite stingy with spending really!!

Re the £2 saving...i think saving for spending money would be a great idea. Our wedding and honeymoon are rolled into the same holiday...however the plan is my mum will have the girls for a couple of days on the holiday while OH and I 'pop' over to eygpt to see the pyramids!!! :D So perhaps ill save £2 coins for that!

Kel, I did the a two day trip to Egypt when I went to Cyprus and it was fab- great idea to save for x

    Morning,

It's raining, in fact it's tipping it down here :( Ah well, hopefully the sunshine will return a little for my day off tomorrow - I was hoping for a bike ride.

Nothing exciting to report here. Had a lovely evening with friend last night and lasagne was yummy. Today I am working overtime (doing my DFW bit ;)) and then off to see my Dad this evening for a catch up. Being super MSE and sharing car journey with OH - he works in my old home town and is on shift tonight so going down with him and then picking him up when he is finsihed....unfortunately that'll be around 2am  Will nap on dads sofa for a couple of hours and then go pick him up, saves on two lots of fuel costs going to the same place :p

Only 12 more days to pay day and then the real debt busting begins :j

Just reminding myself of the little things/baby steps i'm making towards a debt free life -

    Today I have/am......
    • Working overtime
    • Done daily scratch cards 40p :j
    • Completed a couple of surveys
    • Aiming for my first NSD of May
Only little things but I think it is important to remember how such little things/baby steps fit into the bigger picture and plan of a debt free life :)

Baby steps rule Choc, better to do it bit by bit and save your sanity!

You're brave, picking up DH at 2am - I would probably dose off and forget. Once I'm asleep for the night, thats it.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

I get him to call me when he's finished as only 10 min journey to pick him up - that way I get to sleep longer if he's going to be late finishing and means I don't have to hang around waiting ;) Don't do it often but seen as I don't have work tomorrow thought better to save the £10 fuel cost and sacrafice an interruption to my sleep!

Def adopting the baby steps rule, can't do it all and like you say it'll save my sanity :rotfl:

Baby steps is definitely the way to go. Though i am too impatient. I want to pay huge amounts off each time and when they arent huge i get rather disheartened. I will have to remind myself i have paid an overpayment of £70 for may otherwise at the end of the month i will feel i haven't paid off very much!!!

I definitely notice that the small things are adding up though! You should join all the small things thread...great to see what others are doing and what you can adopt to fit your own life. A lovely friendly bunch we are on there too! :D

I agree with Kel & Pen baby steps is the way to go :) Might have a look at the small things thread, not sure I've seen it before!?!

Hope OH wasn't too late finishing work & you managed to get some / get back to sleep too.

Moose - We have an new thread each day - usually started by the lovely Milly (i see you post on her diary sometimes) we just all list little things we are doing that day and have a chat really. A new thread is usually started about 7.15 am each day. It's called 'What small DFW things have you done today' and has that days date infront of it.:D
