In Scotland suicide is the largest single cause of death for males under 35...so, yes, it is a human tradedy, for all involved.
To you and like minded souls, hope you're never "inconvenienced" by one of your own loved ones feeling so desperate they take their own life.
To the OP....Reimbursement???!!
Like Cyclonebri says, i despair.
Yes lets hope so because suicide is generally very selfish for all those left behind and all those who get unintentionally caught up during and after the event.
Still can't see why the OP should be out of pocket for somnething that is entirely someone elses selfish actions. Doesn't mean that we can't all also sympathise in our own way for how deseperate that person must have been . they are not connected IMO0 -
But Northern don't run to either London or Edinburgh....
My apologies my fail, I was confused as 98% of my journeys are wakefield to london, and that was a rare one on the northern network.
Hey ho a voucher that is of no use to me, but will pass on to a mate who regularly visits liverpool.0 -

A close friend killed himself. He left his wife and 2 year old daughter. I have been picking up the pieces ever since. It was a selfish act plain and simple. I feel nothing but anger for him when i see his daughter.0 -
To all those saying people have no compassion and are selfish.
The ONLY selfish person in all of this was the complete coward that selfishly decided not only to put their family and friends through hell but to try to make sure they ruined the day of as many people as possible and scar as many as they could.
That is the only person that is selfish. A selfish coward who cares about nobody but themselves. I for one am glad that they are dead as now they cannot be selfish towards anyone else.0 -

Same. When I was in my early teens my friends were staying at their dads for the weekend and as was always the case their dad dropped them off at the top of the street at the end of the weekend and went home (he lived in a different town) I saw them walking down the street and went out to walk with them down to their house and when we got their the door was open as always, walked inside and found their mum hanging in the kitchen.
She knew that her kids would walk in and find her but she still did it. A 4 year old girl and 10 and 12 year old boys (plus me at 13) had to see a woman hanging lifeless because she was so selfish that she wanted to make a scene.0 -

Has to be the most disgraceful post I've ever read on MSE. You have no idea what prompted this person to do what they did. I do hope you and anyone else never find yourself that desperate. Do you think you have helped the family and friends with that post if they are unlucky enough to come across it?0 -

Look, I for one can never understand what would drive a person to suicide.
But I can understand this, if they have been driven to these action, then a) they are ill , unbalanced, (as in "....whilst the balance of the mind was disturbed), and
b) they will be in no fit state to comprehend the effect there actions will have on anyone else.
There is also one major presumption that has been made in this topic, probably correct but not stated anywhere, who said it was a jumper or a suicide, the op described it as a "fatality"?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

You'd think that wouldn't you...? I was stuck on a train for 6 hours (with no working toilets, I might add) by the same service, missed medication, they refused to get us taxis home etc...and the only offer of reimbursement was for the upgrade cost as I was travelling on the new "high speed" service!0
