  • we are having cupcakes with a big one on top for cutting, so weird that we decided on this so long ago to be 'different' when hardly anyone had it but now everybody seems to have the cupcake bug!

we are making our own so everything will be the way we want it, our colour scheme and of course it will keep the costs down (and occupy us in the last few days run up)
  • 5 tiers of delicous cheese, with an extra tier of the side of stinking bishop.

oh dear! we are shamlessley having a 5 tier cake. not out of original choice but 5 tiers is costing us £350, less than a 3 tier made by a few other people we got quotes from.

Bottom tier is lemon, next is chocolate, mid tier is fruit cake, next is vanilla and top is coconut. just white iceing with little iced pearls on 5th, 3rd and 1st tiers and silver ribbon round 2nd and 4th, with a couple of sugar crafted gerberas on each tier in 2 of the four colours coming down the cake.

sound extravagant but i think it was a bargain! xxxx

All along i've been thinking of buying cakes from tesco etc and then my sister has offered to decorate them in sugarcraft flowers. I've only just realised how small they are though, mainly the height, so am now considering having a go at making our own  Also you can only seem to get fruit cakes in the tesco/asda etc ones and OH hates fruit so wanted to do 1 tier sponge
