Pushchair stolen at Center Parcs - advice please??

To cut along story short, we went to Center Parcs for the weekend (just back yesterday). We were there less than 2 hours when our pushchair was stolen from outside the swimming pool changing areas. Staff were helpful in assisting us to loan us a pushchair and the security spotted our pushachair being taken at 12.51pm, by a woman with her baby in MY pram, on CCTV. They are unable to find her after this, as the CCTV in the car park did not work.
There are no signs outside the pool area stating to lock pushchairs etc and I have been twice before, and have left my pushchair rmany, many times without incident. There were over 80 pushchairs there on the day, and not one of them were locked.
I have a crime number from the police, but my home insurance doesn't cover me for items away from home that are not locked.
I got £60 gift vouchers for Center parcs aftert complaining but still feel my trip was well any truly ruined by the experience. Any advice over what to do next??

You were an unfortunate victim of crime and opted not to insure your posessions against such incidents.

Centre parcs are no way to blame and have already taken adequate action and have zero liability for the incident.

Unless you can prove negligence, it would be difficult to pursue a claim against CP.

Chain your pushchair up in future...you left it unattended and not secure.

There are no signs telling you not to dive head first onto the concrete either but that doesn't make them liable if you do it.

You went and left a valuable posession unguarded and unlocked, how can you expect Center Parcs to be liable, this is between you and the thief. Their £60 was a generous offer which they didn't have to make but you have mistaken their gesture of goodwill as a sign that you are entitled to further compensation.

I hope you're only wanting advice on how to not get a pushchair stolen rather than wanting any more compo from Center Parks!

Surely this should be in praise of Centre Parcs - it seems that the staff were very efficient, and they even gave you a gift voucher! Good on them.

Sorry to hear about the crime, but it really isn't in any way Centre Parc's fault. Just a lesson, hard learnt.

What would you like 'to do next'?
Unfortunately for you, this is 100% your fault for not looking after your own possessions.
You wouldn't leave it unlocked outside of a supermarket whilst you did your shopping would you?
Why should/would anyone else be to blame?

Check on ebay for anyone selling your pushchair. If they are stupid, they'll leave all the teddies/stickers etc on it

    Compensation!

In this case even more, the op's already had £60 which they didn't have to do what so ever at all.

Still can't believe I've even read this thread, the cheek of some people!

So, if you had left your car unlocked in the car park, and it was stolen, would CP be at fault?
