DD assaulted at school (again)- caught on CCTV...advice pls.

Hi, 15 year old DD has had hassle with a group of girls at school from the start. They're part of a notorious school "gang."
She's been assaulted physically by them before, and we've entrusted the school to deal with it. Dealing with it has usually involved shaking hands.
Anyway, yesterday she was grabbed by one of these girls, had her head slammed against a doorframe, and was hit by one of the others. To help set the scene here- DD is a clothes size 4-6, the ringleaders (cousins) are both in excess of size 24. She stands as much chance as Larry Grayson V Mike Tyson.
We've just had the school on the phone, and whilst they won't say how they've "dealt" with the assault- citing data protection- they have said that it's been caught clearly on CCTV. Our feeling is that very little is being done...
Any advice on how to handle this? Do we write to the board of govenors? LEA? Involve the police?
What's the appropriate channel? I've asked them to email me a copy of their antibullying policy, as it's not online.
Your thoughts are welcome- thanks.

I would request a copy of cctv and if this was my daughter I would involve the police.
The school were involved the first time and asked to deal with it. I would now escalate it.
Many may say not too, but if it was my daughter this is what I would do.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Surely physical assualt at 15 is a police matter?
Does your daughter have any visible injuries? If so I would photograph them.0 -
Ask for a copy of the CCTV or inform them that you are notifying the police and they have a duty to keep the evidence.
Once is enough, but this will continue to happen. I would contact the police.0 -
Not referring to the OP here, but it always amazes me that people think assault at a school is less serious than anywhere else, if this happened at a shop/workplace/house or street you would go straight to the police, physical assault is a crime and the police should deal with it.If at first you don't succeed, maybe bomb disposal isn't the best career choice.0

I think you need to make an appontment with the head of the school and tell him/her that you will be pressing charges.
Bullies willcarry on until they are frightened themselves, then they cower as they are purely cowards.
Would you mind letting us know how you got on please, as this is very important to us all, it must be stopped.

Police, definitely. This isn't the first time, so whatever they're doing at school obviously isn't working. Also get a copy of the CCTV from school, before it disappears or gets "recorded over".******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I would also report it to the police. That's assault, not just a bit of playground bullying. They are old enough to know what they are doing and need to be taught that they cannot treat people that way. You stand a very good chance with the CCTV footage as evidence, and it may also put a boot up the schools back side to ensure they deal with such serious incidences properly. Sory to hear your daughter is having is having such a horrible time. What does she think should be done?0

What everyone else said!...;) Call the police.
I would be so angry if I was in your shoes as I was bullied at school and they should NEVER be allowed to get away with it:mad:. Make a stink about it to the school too!JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
