Hiya all,
Not much to note here, apart from I had a lovely surprise this morning. I checked that my wages had gone in (my last agency pay before I switch to company payroll) and I thought I had been paid loads! Until I realised that my housemate had his wages paid into my account too...
Thanks to whoever posted the link to Folksy, I am both inspired and tempted
And thanks to the well wishing on previous days posts, all roughly healing here despite the NHS attempt to kill me by nearly giving me an anti-Rhesus D injection (for negative blood types) when I'm actually a positive blood type but hey, these things happen and it was avoided. Check the positivity.
Diva - Thanks for the opinion on car booting, I was a bit worried about some of my collectable items and so I might e-bay them. If anyone else has any opinions on the most efficient (and profitable) ways to do a massive clear out, I'd be very grateful to hear them.
Tonight is dedicated to cleaning my kitchen (cry) and starting the quilt I'm making for a friends baby with some sausages and lurking vegetable soup, I can't be bothered to make homemade fishcakes.
Hugs to anyone who wants/needs them.

OS wise have made up some lavender water for DGD's awful nappy rash,
Not tried this myself as I never have it in but cornflour is supposed to be very good for nappy rash. Apparantly just sprinkle it on. Not heard of lavender water before. How do you make it??I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Apparently it's warm water with a few drops of lavender in, supposed to be good for healing:D:DI'll let you know how it goes cos her bum is red raw, poor babe.Don't think it helps when HVs tell them not to bath them more than twice a week:mad::mad::mad:Wipes are too strong imo, but hey ho what do I know;):DBitsy_Beans wrote: »Not tried this myself as I never have it in but cornflour is supposed to be very good for nappy rash. I love hearing about all the dogs on her Jackie. Glad coco settled down a bit at the end of the session.
Well, I have another foster cat!! Takes total cats to 4, 2 of mine and 2 are fostered.
He is 16, black and white and called Klinsman (was that a footballer?). He isn't very impressed by the other cats, nor are they of him, so have shut him in the computer room, where he is currently lying across the desk watching me type!
Other foster cat lives in there as well, she is totally oblivious to him growling and hissing as she is deaf, and spends 99% of her time asleep!
Think he is going to be another long term foster unless RSPCA can find another home for him, but at 16 don't expect they will . Saying that, he seems extremely healthy and in great condition, no known medical problems, and has been jumping up on to my lap to get to the table no bother, so we'll see. Have put him a separate litter tray and food down, hopefully he'll suss out how to use it (I'm told he is house trained
).
Anyway, I've bored you all with my cat news, just wanted to share!0 -

I'm happy to read your cat news! Am not really a doggy-person, always had cats until my last one was put down after he had a blood clot at the base of his spine that lost him the use of his legs. That was just before moving in with OH, who lives on a busy main road with no real gardens....so maybe Stanley's illness was a blessing. Have been promised a cat when we move to a house with a garden.....but am not holding my breath

Maybe they'd heard of your amazing paper consumption and were calling round in advance of the Bursar's reaction?!0 -
When my DD was younger every now and then her skin would really break - eventually i found that oranges or orange juice would cause her skin to almost burn. Worth considering if it is really bad that she may be allergic to somethingApparently it's warm water with a few drops of lavender in, supposed to be good for healing:D:DI'll let you know how it goes cos her bum is red raw, poor babe.Don't think it helps when HVs tell them not to bath them more than twice a week:mad::mad::mad:Wipes are too strong imo, but hey ho what do I know;):DClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness
