    Good morning peeps!
Quick one from me as mindee is late.
Curry in SC and yoghurt in flask - I am Mrs Organised today for some reason :D Off to soft play centre this morning and then this afternoon I found some old Fimo that had never been used to might have a sit and play around with that - see what I can create. Was looking on Folksy last night - some lovely things on there......got me wondering if it was something I could do to make a wee bit of money? Hmmmm jury is still out on that one but shall have to see ;)

Redruby - Glad the HSE are taking you so seriously :D Booooo to B&Q for not getting back to you :(

jackieg - Hope the training lessons continue well for you.

Right had better go and wash up and have my first coffee before I flatline without it.
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning All,

Busy day looking after DGS this morning, then my DS2 will take over at lunch as DH and I have a meeting with a business advisor. We are trying to be as prepared as possible for his meeting on Friday:eek:

Last nights tea was delish. Toad in the hole with mash, mushy peas and gravy. Not a scrap left.
Really noticing how much food we are eating with DD and DGS at home and DS out of work so not contributing (although he is trying very hard to get a job). Don't have the heart to ask DD for anything after what she has just been through. Anyway it should only be for a couple of months. If she is still here after that we will have to discuss her contribution.

Anyway tonights tea will be chilli and rice, hopefully enough to do two meals.

Still in my dressing gown at the moment, will dash up and have a shower when Oscar has his mid morning nap. Don't want to scare the business advisor:eek:

Weight wise doing rubbish at the mo. Its always the same when I am stressed, I eat for England, although I eat for England when I am happy as well:o:rotfl: I am seriously thinking about giving up dieting. I am a size 16 so pretty average and don't think I will ever be any different. Really thinking I might just eat as healthy as possible and try and walk and swim every week. Don't know why I have to beat myself up about it:(

Anyway I am waffling. Will try and get some washing out this morning. But its frosty and dam but sunny! Will see how the morning goes.

Happy Tuesday everyone, hugs to those who need them, hi to all who come later x

    Hi & Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Misty & cold here in Kent - hoping for brightness.

Visiting Mum in Nursing Home this pm as usual. Have to make big effort to be bright & cheerful as she's got loads of physical ageing stuff to contend with. She's so mentally strong & always slaps on the make-up, bless her.

This morning will type up my Graveyard Inscription notes I made yesterday whilst walking around the churchyard in cold wind & reluctant sun. Huge graveyard with over 1000 graves & I've just begun this particular project!

I love to hear what you all eat. I live alone & have to stick to a 'fibrous' diet so tend to eat the same kind of stuff just because it 'works' - if you get my drift. I keep spotting lemon drizzle cake in the posts - oh yummmm....

Bamboo - Grows really well in our heavy clay here. Too well. I've spotted shoots popping up a couple of metres from the plant into neighbours lawn. Had to furtively creep out at dusk & remove the shoots, praying I wasn't spotted & they don't return.

Stroppyjock - Welcome. Just curious, what is nsd - anyone?

Anyway, be happy & very warm good wishes to all.

    morning all!

finally got 2 days off after a very busy weekend at work that included being there for 3 shifts and a sleep-in.
Saturday night I went to my friends suprise party which was a strictly come dancing theme, everyone dressed up and it was great fun - she was extremely suprised:D. Her sons had organised it and there was a dancing teacher there to give everyone some tips. Later there was a buffet and disco.A great night:T

Today its catch up day at home - I've given the house a good clean - got a pile of ironing to do later. My hair needs a cut and a dye too.Plus there's the painting to carry on with so plenty to keep me busy.

Not read the threads from the last 2 days so hope everyone's ok.

has anyone heard from PP lately?

redruby - hope DD is ok after her accident x

(((hugs))) to all those in need

have a great day all x

    Morning all :)

Just a fast one from me - as the ion-trap engineer is coming in this morning to train OH and I on the other mass spectrometer :) It'll take two days to complete the training as it's a scary bit of kit. OH has been operating them for years, whereas I'm just tagging along for the ride and know absolutely nothing! Should be intresting.

Dinner last night was the rest of the pizza - OH was off swimming with one of his friends, so I spent the evening making cupcakes and doing a work draft. I cooked some lentils to make curry for this evening. Not much else OS going on, no time to think! OH cleaned the bathroom last night.

I've been given an extra project at work - the curse/blessing of being the only synthesis person in a biology department means I'm often asked to make stuff that is commerically availble just ridiculously expensive (what I'm being asked to make would cost about £90 for 1 mg (and they need a gram, so that would be 90K if they had to buy it). The starting materials cost £65.20 for 25g). It's a nice synthesis, but quite long and it has one very scary quite explosive step in the middle. Should be fun (she says).

I bought a pair of jeans in next yesterday as my last set have worn through - got them home only to find a huge hole in the back, so they will be going back today - if I have time to get out.

redruby - really glad they are going in to visit! They are normally really helpful and lovely people in my experience.
Bitsy - I can really recommend folksy, I've had two shops on there since late november (one selling craft work (also polymer clay bits), the other craft materials) and it's done far better than I ever could have hoped for. It's a lovely community too. If you want a hand with anything, feel free to PM me.
joyfull - nsd is a no spend day :) Sounds like a mammoth project you have there! Hope your visit goes well x
stroppy jock - welcome to OS
Diva - I find tesco accidently put mars bars in my shopping a lot... it's very careless of them :rotfl::rotfl: i try to eat the evidence quickly as I don't want the order packer to get into trouble :)

Have a good day all, cel x

    Morning All :hello:,

    Hope eveyone is well.

    Bitsy - what's Folksy?

Am thinking that perhaps I need to have a chat with my boss. Maybe I came back to work too soon but I am finding myself inordinately stressed out all the time with it. I know that no one really enjoys having to work, but I'm finding myself angry quite a lot over simple things with work.

OS wise I need to do another wash tonight, not sure whether light or dark, and the ironing from last night. Tea tonight is going to be pasta with bacon in tomato sauce and quite possibly some garlic bread.

Have a lovely day, hugs to all in need/want xx

I love looking at all the handmade stuff that people sell on there :D

Celyn - I am going to have a nose at what's on there and see if I can create anything good enough to sell :D I am interested in any tips you have.
