right - i have just uninstalled office again and although i have the icons etc i can't open any of my excel stuff - Access and powerpoint SR200 are still in the add/remove bit should i get rid of them too? Still got the glitches at startup, am wondering if i should maybe try and copy my stuff and reset it all with the Dell restore - so its as it was out the box. what do you reckon?i'm living in a parallel universe0

if you can get all your stuff off to the pen drive then I would say yes, have you tried the CTRL F11 to see if that works or do you have a restore disk ??Ex forum ambassador
