glad to know you've written it all down victory.

Sorry to change the subject but I need to brag about this potato fritter/omelette thing I just made! It's so yummy! red peppers, spring onion, cooked potato, tomatoes, bit of garlic, all covered with eggs in a frying pan the grilled with a bit of cheese on top. YUM!

I do a couple of similar things to that. One is using cooked potato and adding veg, peppers etc and eggs and half cook on the hob half under the grill so it cooks evenly and the bottoms not black...add cooked ham etc or bacon to it aswell. Other is a far naughtier but yummy fried sliced potatoes and red onions (in healthy olive oil or fry light) and add cooked and thinly sliced good quality sausages and eggs, mix it all up in the pan then cook, again half hob half under the grill. Is gorgeous and can be served with veg/salad for a main meal when feeding more than one person. Very yummy and cheap and can be as healthy/bad as you make it really.

Having a naff day today and feel very down about stuff. Just want to cry and scream.

Please pass by this post as this thread is clearly about food and this has no relevance if you so wish and I apologize for veering completely off track but if anyone is interested in correcting the letter to the boss and could help me before I put it in the envelope then thanks....here goes

    Dear ....
I wanted to put in writing my feelings about .... handling of a work related incident that took place whilst you were on holiday.

On the 1st July .... was left a sealed envelope addressed to her from ...., which ....was supposed to relay to me. I enclose a copy.

In the letter it clearly states that I am to blame for the whole team failing their MSA as I was the only person to not complete the computer test. At no time during the month of June had ...told me that this was required of me. In fact I worked with ....on dates for my usual 4 hour shift and the test was never mentioned.

On wednesday the 30th June, on my day off, I was out shopping returning home just short of 3pm. I had 2 mess to ring ... One of them said I had to be in contact by 3.30pm, immediately I raced to the shop, it was 3.10pm, 5 mins off picking my son up from school.

....was not there when I arrived at 3.10pm she had stopped work to go to the docs. I could not wait as would have been late picking up my son.

If ...could not get me on my landline she could have reached me on my mobile, the number would be in my work records. (now the next bit I may think is a bit harsh put people here say it is o.k to put in.....) It highlights poor management leadership skills, .... wants to make me the scapegoat for her poor memory, her lack of planning does not constitute an emergency crisis on my part, especially not on my day off. I cannot be by the telephone just in case ... remembers she has something that I should do.

I have since been told by others that they were not informed at the beginning of the month they had to take the test and some completed them on Mon 28th and Tue 29th, having had 4 weeks according to them previous to complete it.

Surely the fact that I did not take the test of which I had no idea I had to cannot be my fault. ..... had ample time and within out mutual shift work to tell me, 4 weeks infact so I have been now told, obviously forgot and now is trying to offload her guilt/incompetence as supervisor onto me (too harsh too personal too much?) extremely unfair in my opinion.

It is her responsibility to inform the staff in good time of tasks that need completing.

She has failed to do that and I am not prepared to take the blame for her errors.

I dont think it is too much but it depends if you want to continue to work there.
Have you managed to speak to CAB at all or to ACAS?
    What is MSA anyway?

Medical support assesment (as in the meds all changed, the ingredients, new ones come in and so they support you by giving you online tests to check you are up to date on it all)

Well I would strongly advise you to speak to ACAS or an employment specialist at CAB before you put letter in.

Medical support assesment (as in you continously have to study, take tests etc to keep up with the new meds that come out and their ingredients)

Medical support assesment (as in you have to continuously keep up with the new meds that are coming out and their ingredients and keep on learning so it is their support that they give you as an employee to keep up to date)

What makes you say ..if you want to continue to work there?
