DH has just rung and our sellers have agreed to rent the house out to us. I just can't be happy at the moment, DH can't understand why. I haven't told him what the neuro said yet. I haven't told anyone except the flyladies. I have just been sat here crying. :(

Tell your DH when he gets home and I'm sure he'll understand why you weren't over the moon. In the meantime, as Piggers says, start getting the move organised so you can get yourself moved in as soon as possible and have all those lovely york flyladies supporting you.

Sandy oh love - now if you can read this through your tears - try to stop crying - take 3 deep breaths and blow them out as far as you can - there is light at the end of your tunnel - the neuro told your over the phone (maybe not the best thing to do) but you now know there is something - he only said 'tumour like' so he's not 100% and despite his poor choice if it had been life threatening I am pretty sure he would have called you in.
You didnt have to suffer going to see him - getting the news and then coming home.
You have something there ok but at this stage you or they dont know what - so you have to stay focussed on getting over it - whatever it is there will be treatment - maybe nasty maybe not but there will be some sort of treatment -you need to focus on getting it treated and then getting back on your feet. understandably we all think the worst but you need to try to think just a little bit positively and say its not going to get the better of you.
I am quite sure you dont want to give up fighting and leave everybody behind do you? No I thought not so get in the fighting mood - get angry with that thing - how dare it invade your head and cause you all this stress and hassle - you have better things to do with your life.

Now that you have spoken to the neuro you know that a referral will come from York - be prepared - they may want to see you quickly but that will be because they dont know you from Eve - they need to establish a relationship with you and most hospitals want to do their own little tests -although I dont expect they will put you through the MRI again unless something isnt very clear (its unlikely)
And you are a silly lady for not telling DH about what the neuro said - we all know that men are useless at mind reading so he wont have a scooby as to why you are not happy about the new house - tell him asap and how numb you feel. he will I am sure then understand.
And you now need to get organised for the move because the sooner you move the sooner you can get established with the hospital, be near your family for support and the flyladies who are going to descend on you - what a lovely thought. Everything is falling into place so go with the flow and push the blob thing as far back as you can and when it tries to pop out and upset you just get angry and say NO!!!! I have things to do and you will have to wait until the hospital can deal with you. If you are not already on antidepressants maybe you should consider speaking to your GP for something - stop moaning at me - its not real 'help' just a little assistance to get you over this difficult time.

we are all here with you and will support you as much as we can.

now go make a list of what you have to do before you move house!!!

    love and hugs
    toots xx

Sandy, try to think about the move to York and meeting up with some lovely York Flyladies who will help you. I'd definitely tell your husband what the neurologist said when he gets home from work this evening.

Pigpen And Mumof2 I am trying to focus on the move but I can't really think straight at the moment.

Toots, talking sense as always. The neuro said he hadn't had chance to study the scans properly yet but there was definitely something tumour like there. I wasn't really expecting him to give me any results I just called to start the transfer. It came as a huge shock.
I will tell DH when he comes in tonight. He has meetings all afternoon.

I can't take anti depressants as they react with my AED's so will just have to try and cope:(

We have a removal company who will pack and move us so it should be less stressful. Some of our furniture is in storage with them already (We were trying to make the house look bigger:o)

    Thank you all xx

    Hello all.

Late picking up my list; slept all morning again - getting up, bathed, dressed and seeing Mr LW off to work just knocks the stuffing out of me. Gods, I hate lupus!

    MissHiggerty Hoppy Bird-day!:D Have a great one.

Sandy what is it with consultants, they seem to lose all ability to have bedside manner. Mine phoned me up with my lupus diagnosis while I was shopping in Tesco's!
I can only echo what others have already said, focus your energy on preparing for your move. And for goodness sake tell your DH what the neuro said - men are the most useless beings at psychic stuff!

I'm glad to see that Pip the Dog is going to be OK.

Er..... there was more I meant to say, but it's temporarily vacated my head (bloody lupus brainfog:mad:) so I'll just say THANK YOU to Flylady Central Command, oh yes, and Welcome Back to the one and only original and genuine Toots.:D

Right, I'm all behind today, and I have to make bread rolls and cakes, as well, so better summon up a few spoons (anyone got any spare?:D) and get going.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Sandy - *Hugs* honey. Can't say more than the others, but know that I'm thinking of you. I'm in Beverley, and I'm more than willing to visit, I absolutley love York!

Better go find my list...I promised myself I'd fly whilst watching New Moon (yes I'm a Twilight person). Would have used it as a reward but OH won't have anything to do with it, so if I don't watch it now, I won't get a chance til friday:eek:

I sort of managed last week - there was a lot of decluttering going on! Still a fair amount this week, but I'm aiming to just keep going. Keeping my kitchen tidy as I did a mammoth job on that last week and aiming for Level 1, though today I have a work man in so the contents of my utility are currently in my living room! Think I'll have double tomorrow :)
