Glad you found something Paula.

Not been in the loft yet, got to get a ladder, but will let you know what I find! In the last place, we found decades of magasines a couple of ancient games consoles, duvets, stacks of books, a wardrobe?, a 6 foot long model aeroplane, ummm, can't remember, suppose they are just dumping grounds in rented houses!
Jo, I've missed the whole glitter thing, was it everywhere? It drives me mad, if I get it out it has to be like that puzzle where someone has a plant, a goat, and a wolf and has to get them all to the other side of the river but can only take one at a time; and if the sheep's left alone with the plant, it'll eat it, as will the wolf with the sheep. I have to get the paper and glitter and glue and whatever all out without at any point leaving anything alone with Freyja (OK maybe not paper) as she will immediately tip all of it out on the table regardless of what she has been told :rotfl:I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Haha, the 2 year old loves to help, takes twice as long, but she loves it, the 6 month old, however is probably a bit too young to be cleaning! Besides trying to move the boxes, DD1 tried to help but started crying because they were too heavy, so she has decided to start emptying the books all over the hallway, fun!
Don't have a DVD player, that died itsdeath when DD1 put chocolate buttons in it and they melted.
Paula, I can wholeheartedly say that the price of things is one of the only things living here has going for it! Don't get me started or I will rant on forever more! Think it is because there are sooooo many unemployed people here that it is either cheap lessons or noone can afford them, there are something like 30 driving instructors in the local paper, so competiton is steep.
Shamelessly, I sold it! Got about £150 for the bits I found, well, the landlord never bothered to check and the last tennant just left it so not like it was wanted by anyone!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -

You'll find glitter in the most unexpected places
and M&P, I'd have sold it too, what a great find! Neeeeed to get in the loft...have you got a beach there? Van you get outdoors much with the kids? Scarb's pretty rubbish too but at least has places you can go walking, look for bugs, pick leaves etc, DD1's not keen on the wind blowing her though so we haven't been out as much as I'd like to recently. I'm just wondering, cos you seem to be so sick of the place...I'm not getting you started honest lol! xx

MummyP - I am phoning Sky and one of their messages is about a problem with Sky boxes being on standby and not coming back on - they have engineers working on it....thought that may be you rather than your box!Life is a work in progress0

Nixi - thats the one, just tried it now and it is working again, but it went on Standby on its own and wouldn't turn back on again.
Paula - with the winds the way they are at the moment, the beach is a no go. We have gale force here today and being the most easterly point, there is no land in an direction to shield you. Did get down there last week but weather is getting worse! Paige likes sploshing the stones and chasing waves, we got soggy soggy wetl ast time! Ho hum, never mind, when the good weather comes there is no end of visitors and I will be fine, just a bit lonely til then! Doesn't help that all the caravan sites in a 10 mile radius have been booked since before Xmas, otherwise my parents would be down.

MummyP - I just rang because we had an engineer out on Tuesday and he has damaged our tv stand gggrrrrrrr (brand new as well!) and the message whilst waiting is saying:
"If you are phoning because your sky box has gone to standby and will not turn on again we are aware of the problem and our engineers are working to resolve the issue" or something like that!
I heard it and thought of you so posted on here straight away!!!
Glad yours is working again!! One less thing for you to worry about!

Oh that does look bad! We're in a bay, well there are two, so it's kind of sheltered but is pretty windy and cold anyway, so yours must be freezing! Hmm wonder if we have a webcam? Lol just found it http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/york/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8390000/8390694.stmI have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0

wow, now that looks a lot nicer! OH uses the webcams to check on the sea state before he sets off. Not so much the cold, but the wind, gets right down your neck not matter what you wear. Had OH standing in front of the webcam once, before we moved, I was sitting in Cambs and he was in front of the webcam on the phone to me, really funny. Someone kick me, or better stil, someone come round and cook my dinner for me, really not feeling like doing much at all today.turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0
