Not really, have made a grand total of 2 friends since moving to the dump, one of them from here. Not sure about the books atm. Should really make more of an effort, but between the kids, the business plans and the fact that everyone here is so cliquey I really can't be bothered with it.turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0

Do you mean people on this thread or where you live???
sit down and make a list of things you need to do and then prioritise them. You might find that as you have more invested in the clothes that they would be better on ebay first, then the books. But if you find the books are getting on your nerves, then why not sell them in batches on ebay for other car booters??sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -

Saucy -did you get my PM with my email address? thught it would be easier than PM'ing but if the initial pM didnt get there it hasnt really helped...confused?? I am.
Just finished four consecutive car insurance comparison site surveys...never again..I've compared meerkats and that fat opera bloke and now my head hurts....but my blue rosebuds are here so here comes merkin No 2
Mildred update...she has been sacked from merkin modelling because of her bad attitude (not really shes just very difficult to photograph) but she has been promoted to jewellery model instead...you will see when the sites done :-)0 -
The people here (in Lowestoft), sorry! Went to all the kids groups for the first 5 months, but just got blanked by everyone as they already had there little groups, so gave up. Probably why I am on here so much, least I have someone to talk to, so to speak!
Have put the books to one side for the last week as they were taking so much time, and am trying to get all the clothes listed before I start on them again. Tried selling in batches, listed 15 boxes as a business oportunity/ car boot, just like I bought them for, but after 5 days they ended for 99p, so won't be doing that again in a hurry. Have made he list, it is just taking some time to get through. The shed roof is leaking, which doesn't help, so they are all in the house. Next thing to invest in is a ladder, have a loft, but can't get into it, wonder whats up there? People always leavethings in lofts when they move, the treasures I have found in our last 3 houses prove that. Thinking of upping the amount of driving lessons each week to 4 hours, just got to wait for a slot at the nursery to become free, all the money made up until then will buy me an old banger hopefully!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
When I was learning to drive I found it was a lot better to have more lessons in a week..it keeps the momentum going..it is bloody expensive though :-(0

I don't drink, I don't drive, I don't have a babysitter, so I don't go out, think I can treat myself to lessons, besides in this corner of the earth, they are only £10 per hour. Costs more in nursery fees for the 2 hours than it does in lessons!
ETA: Its not my day today, the skybox has officially died, all the tidying still to do and I don't have the help of CBeebies, what am I going to do!!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
What did you find in lofts M&P? Really nosey
and I hate people who are cliquey in playgroups too, think it's still worth going for the kids sometimes and sometimes you meet nice people who come later, but I only have two people in this town I'd call real friends and one of them I've only known a year - and have lived here seven years so think it's a matter of chance, whether you meet people you really get on with. I just have a natter with random pensioners I see on buses and that'll be me done for the day lol! Sorry if anyone's spoken to me and I haven't replied, have been really busy. MummyandPaige, it sounds like you should have a book and clothes shop! And Mabel, will PM you back when I've read a bit of the dribble, but think Mildred is probably relieved to have been promoted! Oooh and, jo, we got my grandma one of those willow things, an angel-type thing holding a candle, it's a similar size to some of her other ornaments so we think she'll like it and the candle bit is appropriate for the occasion
so thanks for that xx

Helllooo Paula! Patience and sticking at things is not my vitue! Still go to 1 or 2 a week to keep DD1 happy (and wear her out a bit), but thats my lot now. Not been in the loft yet, got to get a ladder, but will let you know what I find! In the last place, we found decades of magasines a couple of ancient games consoles, duvets, stacks of books, a wardrobe?, a 6 foot long model aeroplane, ummm, can't remember, suppose they are just dumping grounds in rented houses!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0

Any DVDs?.
give them a duster and let them help. or a bowl of things to sort into different bowls.
Can't remember whta ages you are dealing with.
Little box/basket with colouring crayons in and strips of paper. so they can move from room to room with you and draw and colour while you tidy.
A basket and some rolled up paper balls for them to try throwing in.
If you are in kitchen a small bowl of water and some bits of stuff like cake cutters and measuring spoons to wash and dry. ours love their own little strips of jay cloth. might get a bit wet round and about but at least not glittery.
