M&P - rather than renting a franking machine have a look at the business thingy on RM , hang on I;ll see if I can find the page....

    http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump1?catId=500185&mediaId=400046&keyname=discount_and_payments

If you contact RM you might just get discounts on volume without paying for the rental on a franking machine. Aparrantly the franking machines are very expensive on the ink costs.... might be worth having a look round the forums on ebay, I;m sure I saw a few conversations re postal prices and how to save money...

  • Evenstar - Hope everything works out for you, you sound like you need a really big hug and a fat bar of chocolate. I know it is easier said than done, but try and make her see that what you are doing is for her and her little girls own good, that you love them.

I am officially depressed :( I have just totted up the ins and outs for this monnth and I have made a whooping £30 :( All that effort :( Hoping to do better next month as most of this months profits went on a mannequinn and other supplies, not to mention the whooping EBay fees for so many listings, still don't feel very good about it though :(

  • Thanks , I know, have only sold 7 out of the 341 clothes and 1 out of 78 boxes of books, guess I am just a bit too keeen to start making the money! My house still looks like a storage yard, hmm, just having one of those days. Got to try and reshuffle to get to the spare room, have a visitor tomorrow and if I don't get my skates on, she will be sleeping ontop of the boxes! Thoroughly had enough of the books though, the amount of hours spent sorting and listing and the amount of room they take up, and my payout hit the bank today £32.06 minus the postage left me with £8.61, really not worth it, can't wait to get shot of them at the bootsale.

Mabel - your hairbrained ideas and humour is the highlight of my day, don't stop!
