Morning all!
Yeah, I know as usual an essay but it is the only way I can make sure I haven't left anything out.
Saucy – congratulations on the Uni place great news x
Rachel – I will PM you with my details : )
Precious b – I am really impressed with your site you have done a great job. You go girl!
Cagne – Wix is alright, I am not a mega fan of it though. It is straightforward to use though.
Mabel – Just have a look at Myla, and Agent Provocateur for stock ideas. They have some more unique stuff. I don’t know what is it about garters but they make me think
Toots – I love reading books in the bath too! My favourite thing to makes me feel so relaxed.
katquinn82 – well done on paying off your credit card!
No longer in denial – welcome to the mad house! More than welcome. And you seem like a better SEO expert than me what is this 3/4/5/6 linking you speak of??
With the village, it is a good idea… but I honestly think it is all beginning to get a wee bit complicated. Basically, all the people with web related dribbler website ideas need to get together on msn and have a digital chinwag of sorts. I am a techie and even I am getting incredibly confused???? Oh, everything confuses me anyway!!!!
In other related news re the cliquiness, we have a tendency as people to read things as we are. In other words we look at things from our own perspective and not necessarily a true one. And I think that might be the case with some thinking that they are not welcome.
I was a MSE lurker for a long time, but this thread challenged me to talk about what I do as my family have always said I am very unassuming and don’t big myself up enough. And within three months of being part of this thread I have turned into a self publicising egomaniac who insults her husband publicly, whilst discussing the finer points of merkins…mwahahahahaha.
But, I think everyone is really nice and welcoming tbh ***shrugs***.
Also, I like to check in each day for a laugh. This thread really keeps me going, but others might be different, some might just prefer to lurk, some might only want to post once in a while. And also because of the gargantuan amount of dribble – some might not have the time or energy to catch up everyday or just might be overwhelmed by the pace. I mean we are already 60 pages deep inta a thread created FIVE DAYS AGO. ***eek***
I don’t think anyone should be worried about being left out. The more the merrier! So those of you lurking right now who are laughing at merkins should come out right now and say hello.

Morning all,
I've woken up with the headache from hell. And can't do a thing about it. Last night was a real buzz, I plan to write a blog post about it if my eyes stop blurring this screen.
Munchki - thanks for the info, will look at stormwire, sounds a bargain for that price.
I've decided against a flash site, not what I need at the moment and don't want to overcomplicate things.
back in a bit when this headache clears, do you think coffee and a cigarette would help? I think so too.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Clear Secured debts by 43. 8yrs.Clear Unsecured debt by 39. 4yrs. Gain full control of my finances by 36. 1yr.Keep my head above water. Firstly a big thank you to everyone for the warm welcome, will append my sig in a minute.
Im not quite sure how to multi-quote on here without doing it the long winded way, so will respond to people with queries seperatelyplease do join..... we are here to help!! Oh, do you know a bit about SEO?? Might take the pressure off our other resident expert Dilli!!
SEO is my primary industry, I have been involved in 3 large SEO companies in various roles (one junior / 2 management), and run my own (small) SEO company. The company I started with are the one of the biggest in europe, where I cut my teeth so to speak and learnt the basics. I then went to another agency, and set them up with SEO / Web development side and got them to page one for key phrases like SEO / Search Engine Optimisation.
After this I moved to a third company, with a view to earn more money closer to home, unfortunately the company shut down due to poor sales tactics. Leading me to set up on my own, unfortunately lack of funding has stopped me progressing this as quickly as I would have liked - however I am still upbeat once this debts paid off I can push my company forwards
Now onto a couple questions, is this £100->£10,000 meant to be total T/O with vat (im vat registered due to my b2b sales), total T/O after vat, Gross Profit or Profit after her majesty has her cut - Im happy to play the game any way just want to know im on a level playing field£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Nolongerindenial - Right passing the buck over to you on SEO then lol, I am going to pick your brains because everything I know is self taught. Right, here comes my first SEO questions, quite happy with my website at the mo - the only issue is that with flash based sites you can't add much in terms of SEO terms as the text can't be read by robots.
The first page of my site has links to other parts of the website, but once again I can't do anymore to it in terms of keywords, and there a no keyword relationships on the webpage as there is only text and no images. Is there anything that I can do to improve the results?
Also, I went from a no data rank in to an alexa rank of 6,016,589 overall, and 308,446 in the space of a month.
Is that good progress or should I be doing a bit more?10K 2010 challenge £3202.59/£10000

nolongerindenial it really is up to you how you want to define it for yourself and what income you want to include.
some people are including money from extra part time jobs that they have found others are including any money they save by reducing expenditure others clearing out junk and carbooting/ebaying.
some people are keeping the money separate others are needing to spend some of it in debts as they go along.
Not all income is taxable eg those selling their own old stuff at carboots/ ebay.
As there is such diversity it is not really easy to compare to each other so it is better to be comfortable with whatever system you choose for yourself and you will get cheered on plenty by folk on here.

As I am sure you are aware, recipricol linking has been extremely easy to detect since the dawn of time. (about 2004-5 in technological terms), and as such many link builders have not really upped the game. Now this post may upset some of the people in the industry as they dont really want you to find out just how easy it is to do there job, and want to justify £800+ to do this.
2 way linking:
Site A links to Site B, which returns the link back to site A. Net result: Recipricol link and it gets diminished
Effectively:
Site A->Site B-> Site A
3 way linking:
Site A Links to Site B which Links to Site C which links to Site D, the result is a triangle of linking occuring
Effectively
Site A->Site B->Site C->Site A
4 way linking
as per 3 way linking but site c links to site D and D links to A
5 way linking
Im sure you get the concept now.
However the difficulties are managing this linking, which the more sites you add into the listing, the more chance of one deleting the link and losing the strength which is built up for the sites before.
The other problem is for those people who are just PageRank(PR) Chasers. they are totally screwed as with each link, the dampening factor is applied(0.85 unless they have changed it since they wrote the paper) and as such not as much PR is passed through the links. However the links are not discounted like recipricol£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!
