Good Morning all, the sun is doing its darndest to break through so I am going to put a wash on and get it out on the line to dry. All's well so far and we are keeping our fingers crossed that big Frank will be allowed home tomorrow.
Busy week this week, so today I am going to try and get my 'indoor' stuff done.Eldest DD is coming for coffee this morning and I am hoping she will cart my dyson upstairs for me so I can get upstairs vacuumed, knowing her for a couple of coffees and some cake she will do it for me.i only live in a tiny cottage but there are three bedrooms upstairs that need a quick flick with the vacuum.I have got a big bag of shredding for her.She works at a school and they have an industrial size shredder there which is brilliant for disposing of unwanted paper bills.
Well time to get a move on <<hugs>> to those who are down and blue and a big:) to the rest of you.Spring fever is definitely getting to me I can see all the dusty corners that need doing
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Hi, thought I'd pop on here and say hello. What fun you have over here! Reading about plants, twinks and little John... My back is in agony today so whatever I do will be low key. Some fresh bread from the bakers toast coming up.

Happy Birthday to flutterbyuk, Have a great day :bdaycake:
Morning all,
Its beautiful here too :T, got the bedding on a boil wash, and will get that on the line, will put dd's in after.
I have a leg of lamb to cook for later, with sweede and carrot, cabbage and roasties :T, looking forward to that, hopefully plenty of leftovers.
I think I am going to have to go and get some new tyres put on today, the man at the garage said I need four new ones, and one of the back ones has a slow puncture, so might try and get two done today.
Yesterday in B & Q a huge box, ( taller than me, and very heavy) fell from the racking and hit my dd on the head and face,, bless her, she never cries, but I think she was in shock and she burst into tears, I asked for a first aider and the manager, the manager never turned up and I had to wait 10 minutes for the first aider, who was more concerned about completing the incident form than seeing to my dd, the only first aid offered was a glass of water or did we want an ambulance , dd went to a sleepover last night so I have not seen her this morning, but she has brusing to her face. I have sent an E-mail to head office, I am not interested in a financial gain, but they need to look at their racking etc, if that has hit a small child it would have crushed them. Makes me so mad, useless shop staff
Want to make a lemon drizzle cake later on, if I get a chance, and I would like OH to put my hanging baskets up, and fill the holes on dd's wall, so that I can get on with decorating.
Have good days all xx0 -
Oh Redruby, that makes me so mad, I hope your DD is OK. I'm afraid if it had been me, I would have had a right old rant and rave, and probably made a show of myself. You're right to keep on at them I don't agree with this compensation culture we have but companies have a responsibility to make sure the business they go about is safe. A call to the Health and Safety people may be a good idea too, it might not have been a one -off, or they may not be complying properly with health and safety, and next time the consequences could be worse. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Morning all - and thanks to all those who welcomed me back.
It's like settling back into a comfy settee, being back here. LOL
jc : hope you feel better soon! Sounds like you're into that frustrating time when you're not quite well enough to get on, but things are starting to wave at you from a distance, needing doing!
Oooh, Flutterby! Sounds like romance is definitely in the air with your serviceman, then! How exciting! Happy birthday, too!
Yikes, RedRuby, I agree - you should definitely keep on at Head Office. It's only a wonder your DD wasn't hurt worse than a bit of bruising!
Well, it sounds like Roast Chicken is a definite favourite for dinner today - it is here in this house, too! Ours is a "Taste the Difference" one yellow stickered from Asda. It was reduced by £1.12, so not a bad deal. It looks a lovely plump bird, so I'm hoping to get tonight's roast, tomorrow's chicken & mushroom pie, a chicken soup and a few litres of stock from it. Should be achievable!
We've had three items on Freecycle for the last two weeks - and nobody wants them! They're all desktop computer-orientated stuff on offer because DS now has a laptop. I guess it just goes to show how the laptop is taking over from the desktop!
As to what we're going to do today, well, it all depends on how my Polymyalgia Rheumatica lets me! Have given up planning stuff, because it never gets done. I wake up, see how I am and then decide. ~shrug~ Ah well, it could be worse! :rotfl:

Had Boo over last night, and she slept 12 hours thanks to the snuggly sleepsuit, and secret bottle that always lulls her off completely;)She's now playing and watching Peppa, whilst trying to suck her thumb and clap hands at the same time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Am gonna do the beds, cot etc today, and sort few a few more possible ebay things as it's still free listing today.Got a Mr T delivery due tomoz so am avoiding the shops today:D:D

Money saving diva- I will defo let you know how it goes, I am getting very excited about it!
Morning guys,
I did two lots of washing yesterday and it's all draped off various door handles and radiators around my house!
I suffer from M.E. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) so I cannot do as much OS stuff during my day as I would like, is there anyone else on here with a disability or long term health condition that finds the same? Just wondered if maybe we could swap tips?
I have come to see my Mum today (hence having interent access) so prob won't get a chance to do much OS stuff today, but it is so nice to have a rest. I have 8 days of annual leave now, I am so excited about it I hardly got any sleep.
Redruby - that B&Q incident sounds awful, please let us know what happens with your e-mail.
The weather is gorgeous here, it has definitely given me a spring in my step!
Hugs to all xxxxxxxxxxxHmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!0 -
Redruby - I also think it is a good idea to notify HSE. I spend a lot of the time on H&S matters for our tiny company and there is no excuse for B&W to get away with this.
Hope your DD isn't in too much pain and the bruising doesn't look too bad.x0 -

Hiya Jellybaby! Yes, I have PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) which is a condition where the inner lining of the blood vessels is inflamed. So you can imagine, doing anything that raises the heart rate is painful! I just went for a blood test last week to see how it's doing, and it's gone back up to 44 (bad) from 12 (good). *sigh* Odd though, considering I'm feeling quite a bit better this week! I put it down to the Cider Vinegar I've started taking, for my Arthritis pain. Seems to be doing something!

Morning (just) all
Lovely spring day here. Having a bit of a de-clutter. Freezer defrosted and cleaned out (only a small one on top of the fridge, so easy and quick to do). Meal plan done for the next week or so - just as well as I think I'm over my March gc, haven't added up the last couple of receipts yet.
Bathroom cleaned and the value shampoo that has been lurking in the shower for months has now been added to the handwash. Didn't do anything for my hair but didn't want to waste it. False ecomony really as there is usually decent shampoo on offer.
Dinner today is gammon cooked in the slow cooker yesterday, plus the frozen roasties I found in the freezer, so nice and easy.
Belated birthday wishes to Essex-girl (from another Essex girl)
Happy birthday flutterby
MSD - Positive thoughts for Tris
(((hugs))) for anyone else in need of one
Have a great sunny Sunday afternoon0
